I have better things then to trawl through all of the transcripts but Jade did not say she thinks she is the best looking woman in the world. She said she thinks she is beautiful, which is objectively true, she has well proportioned, feminine features, a slim yet curvy figure. Her only downfall is her acne which she can easily sort out with roaccutane.

Just because she said she was beautiful she did not mean she thinks she is the most beautiful in the world. She is empowering herself by not falling for this petty tradition of always having to dull your shine to stop getting other people's backs up...

This is also exemplified in her attitude to her intelligence, she does not feel the need to act like she is dumber then she is, and she is clearly very bright. She is in a house full of absolute morons and when you're at your wits end and food deprived it's easy to begin to manipulate people, everyone is capable of being manipulative and more intelligent people are always criticised for doing it by people that are unable to understand complex thought. Sarah is similarly beautiful and intelligent yet she has more social grace with it, maybe Jade will learn with time to do the same. She is not necessarily a bad person.

Also re Nick. He chose to engage with Jade, he was well aware of the fact that she was not sexually attracted to him. If you are trapped in a space with very few people you are bound to end up becoming more and more tactile with whoever is available. It's human nature.

It is not for anyone to call themselves beautiful or to say they know they are. She could of said she thinks she is beautiful but it is not a fact because I think she's very bland looking and her features are too close together. On launch night I thought she was the least attractive and I still do. So it cannot be a fact can it? It's up to each individual.

Seems to me she wants, even expects, to be desired by men. She came into the house and announced she was beautiful and available for all the men to pursue and adore, too self-obsessed to realize that most men will be put off by a woman vowing to sleep around on them before they've even got together.

When the adoration she expected didn't materialize she had to pretend she didn't fancy anyone to cover up, but luckily for her there's a chancer in the house, lacking spine and character, who'll take whatever he can get so long as he doesn't have to work for it and it doesn't disadvantage him.

The moment it does disadvantage him, he predictably abandons her to save himself and she's immediately trying to get a replacement for him.

They're as bad as each other in their own way. She's bonkers and he's a shit.

What rot. It's perfectly acceptable for anybody to have confidence in themselves and their appearance. That's easily mistaken by others for arrogance and superiority, but that's usually their problem. Jade has only ever come across as self-assured and that's not a crime at all.

Unfortunately, enough bitter girls will watch Jade and react unkindly and with jealousy. That's the simple truth of it. The same goes for any other housemate about anything else in their lives - as soon as they're confident about it, it goes against them. It's a shame, really.

Sarah received the vote for most attractive, which Jade clearly thought she had in the bag, yet she hasn't once spoken about how beautiful she is. The twins are also far more attractive than Jade and I don't believe I've seen them speak a word about how beautiful they are.

Every woman should be confident and recognise her own unique beauty, but to be boastful and act with an air that they expect that beauty to be acknowledged by all she sees is the most unattractive thing they can do. From the start Jade has come across to me as a vain girl who expects adoration and attention...I don't find her as beautiful as the other women in the house. She and Harriet are systematically losing every bit of shine I had for them.

As far as Nick - he's been completely honest with everyone about why he did what he did and how he's tried to check himself, but chose to go with it. When they were caught with the noms talk he was shocked into looking at his own behaviour and rejigging it. He was straight with everyone, including Jade, and set his course again. Good on him and it's brought him up in my estimation tremendously.

Jade pranced around in front of the mirrors cause no one else was paying her any attention at all. I was especially happy when Cristian drew the line too. She's going to have to go all humble to get through this one I'm afraid.

She really does need to Get over Herself.....I'll be amazed if she doesn't leave on Friday !!

Exactly, we do not all admire the model look, I for one think their legs look like storks. However for those who do like this, for me, her personality lets her down big time. Far too self-absorbed for my liking. Otherwise I enjoy her car crash game plan, entertaining. Keep her in.

Jade has such a hippy/flowery way of wording things and is into the whole spiritual thing. I think she simply means she's happy, confident and beautiful on the inside and out. However, when she said it out loud, I think she more meant inside - so your comments can't touch me!

Fake humbleness

Actually there is a large objective element in beauty. Look it up.

Emphasis on the word think. Clearly Nick thinks she is beautiful, and she thinks she is beautiful. She has never said that she thinks everyone thinks she is beautiful, just that she recognises that she has a beauty that some people are attracted to. She is self assured. However, it's cute to see you oversimplifying things, maybe when you grow up you will realise the world isn't black and white.

I agree with you that being boastful is not necessarily an attractive quality, however, everyone has attractive and unattractive features. In a patriarchal society (which we are in whether you care to admit to it) women will always be given far higher standards to adhere to and will be criticised if they don't meet them. Jade has the self assurance to admit that when she is under attack, which she has been, her way to respond is to be as conceited as possible. People always do what they know when in a stressful situation such as the big brother house.

please, patronise me further, it really proves your debating prowess and intelligence. when you personally attack people for their opinions about a tv show it really shows your emotional intelligence and maturity (some beautiful irony there).

Personally I believe that women should be more positively confident about their looks, without using it as a personality replacement.

I'm attacking you personally because your personality is so clearly being projected through your views. You are not objective in the slightest. I'm not saying i'm not either, but I have an awareness of the fact that i'm not and therefore am able to do something about it. On this issue I have superior knowledge, stop being insecure about the fact and learn from it.
