You sound paranoid to be honest.

Normally when people start a thread they give their opinion and yours is very noticeable by it's absence. In fact most of the thread so far has been taken up discussing this lack of opinion from you.

OP, would you be getting so excited about a soldier being a FATHER of a YOUNG CHILD?”

Come on, let's not compare Soldiers to BB housemates. It's insulting. One goes to put their life on the line to protect their country, the other is just fame hungry.

I just find that parents that go on BB while their kids are quite young are little selfish, imo

I don't think it's selfish Sarah wants to make her life better for herself and her kid.

It's a long shot though. She has to beat out 10+ hms to win that 150k and atm she doesn't look like a winner. After BB If she gets some work off of it, the likelihood of it being lucrative or long term is also small.

And there was nothing stopping her from applying when her child is little older.

I actually think all HMs are selfish that go on the show, I think those with children are particularly selfish, from a personal point of view I would say those with school-children age are the worst because of what they could be putting their children through, very few HMs are lucky enough to come off this show looking saintly.

You make your life better for yourself by working for it not doing a couple of months on a wannabe show, that has to be the lowest of excuses for going on it.

What difference would that make? The child is having a lovely time with her grandmother.

Grandmothers love having their grandchildren to stay.

She can make more more doing this show than working a 9-5 job and like Annsyre said the kid is with the grandmother not parred off with a stranger.

Well maybe in your world a mother's presence is considered redundant.

In mine, I still would still want my mum regardless of if I had my grandmother, grandfather, Peppa pig or Mickey mouse staying with me.

There is no substitute for a mothers' love or presence.

I just find it interesting that Sarah would rather trade in of her young child's life for 15 minutes of fame. Having said that I do think she will win and it will therefore be "worth it" for want of a better phrase.

Don't be so stupid. I said and think no such thing.

Children are happy to spend time with all family members who love and value them.

Every year its the same. A mum gets criticised for going in the house and 'leaving' her child/children.
Yet when there have been dads its not the same.

I always think of BB that the person is 'working'. She/he is trying to make a better life for her/himself and sees a programme like this of a way to do it.
Many people go away to work and leave their children.

Personally I wouldn't do a show like BB nor would I want to leave my kids for so long yet some people have no choice as they need to go away to support their families. Others feel its the best way long term to support their families.

I don't think that she deserves to be criticised for this at all. Her child is safely with its grandma and able to see her on the TV (lets hope they turn the volume down to drown out Harriet's swear words).

I wish her well and hope that it all works out for her and the time away from her child makes it worth the while and she is able to give to her child more in the long term.

I would rather she was in the house than sitting on her ass claiming benefits.

This ^^^

So annoying.

Seems mothers of young children can't do right for doing wrong!

As many posters have said, I am sure her child is being cared for, so the OP needs to mind her beezwax!

I am guessing the OP is female, as it's usually females who are so critical and scathing of other females! Whether it's 'Ooooooh she is a right scrounger/freeloader' or 'how DARE she go out to work and leave the child with someone else?'

As I said, mothers of young children just can't seem to do anything right in the eyes of some. Damned if they do, damned if they don't!

It's stupid to think that a child would be happy to not see their mother for nearly 3 months regardless of whoever caring for them.

But she is 'working;

Not the type of work that I would like to do but its still a form of work. She is doing something that could potentially give her more earning potential in the future.

Its not for us to decide on what work is more merited than others.

Work is work whether one is shovelling shit for a living or entertaining on a TV show. (not that she really entertaining me but thats another issue).

Exactly. BB isn't going to pay her that much. She's probably gonna have to return to 9-5 job anyways.

£150,000 if she wins and if she doesn't who knows what offers she may get.

Doesn't matter of they don't pay her very much. She has the potential to earn more afterwards, especially as she is attractive.

As i said that's a long shot, she has to fight off 10 hms for that prize money. And a lot of HMs end up with no offers on the table. What percentage of BB HMs have actually done well from being in the house? I bet it's pretty low.

Anyways again that still doesn't answer why she could wait a few years for her child grow up a bit but that's just my opinion.

Because she is doing it now it's her choice what she does and her child is in no harm so not sure what it matters?

I do think in the end game Sarah will be able to turn the fact she is a mum with a young child into a positive and that will help her win
