I've searched but found no mention of this in this forum. Has anyone been yet?

I'm going to Birmingham on the 26th. As it's half term there should be lots of kids there so it should be a great atmosphere.

Wish this was coming to the Scarborough Open Air Theatre. Would be the perfect venue for it.

I went to the one at London Wembley yesterday, and it was absolutely superb! A real atmosphere, and a true experience!

Peter Davison did a great job presenting, and there were an array of little in-jokes from his presenting that were great fun. Getting a "text" from Sylvester McCoy mid-show, reminding us he was in The Hobbit, was a great little touch. Peter Capaldi showing up in the audience was an additionally nice touch.

The show itself was amazing. The first half seemed a lot more geared towards the RTD Era, whilst the second half more towards the Moffat Era. But anyone who enjoys the music from the show or just really, really likes Doctor Who in general would have loved this!

My personal highlights were the Last Christmas Suite, Into Darkness which was basically a Dalek suite, the Series 8 Suite, and Vale Decem which I did record as well as it was so beautifully done with a montage of all the Doctors.

I'm going tonight in Cardiff - really looking forward to it.

A good show in Birmingham this afternoon.
Two tips if you're buying tickets; EE have them half price, and if you want to be up close and personal with the monsters, sit near the aisles in the front third of the seats.

On Saturday the first half was about an hour, there was a 20 minute break and then nearly another hour. So just under 2.5 hours in total.


Yes, with massive queues for it and expensive. Apparantly the glossy programmes were £15!

It was a fantastic show though, the music and the videos (and Peter Davison) were superb.

I went to the evening show in Leeds this evening. A good mix of people there - loads of families but plenty of adults there - saw a few people in fezzes and bowties.

A very enjoyable couple of hours. Peter Davison was amusing (in-jokes in the script for those adults who know their Dr Who history). Great performance by the orchestra and choir and an excellent female soloist. Knowing the stories of the clips from the show on the big screen helped understand what was going on but I reckon the music would have helped the casual viewer have a fair idea of the stories that were shown.

£15 for a programme was a bit extortionate but then they usually average around £10 before you add the BBC factor into it.

I went with a friend who got a 'Special Edition' of the programme for free, along with a poster. Not quite sure how he did it, but it totally put me off wanting to fork out £15 for the regular programme... it was at least £5 too much. Still I bought a t-shirt, a keyring and a wristband And seeing some of the fantastic cosplay on display was souvenir enough - one woman was dressed up as the TARDIS, her costume was amazing... she even had a glowing light on her head!

Went to the concert at the Newcastle Arena last night. It was fantastic. The Orchestra and choir were in great form and Peter Davison was the perfect host for such an event. His running gag about Colin Baker was very funny. To hear such brilliant pieces of music such as This is Gallifrey, Vale Decem and of course the main theme, played live was worth admission price on their own. Bouight a programme, ok at £15 it was a bit steep, wanted a T shirt but didn't have the one I wanted in my size. All in all a great night out.
