a stupid launch night twist getting rid of a 'potentially' good housemate.

a another 'twist' telling the housemates the publics favourite, they normally wait till atleast week 5 before they do this
likely resulting in us never getting rid of the increasingly unpopular loathesome blob.

these are the only 2 'time' themed twists weve had.
other ones have included Jade letting other housemates join her for luxury, ''unleashing another timebomb'', how is that a time bomb ?!

what would you do ?

why not have a housemate detonate a bomb which sticks them in flux for 24 hours in a room repeating the same thing over and over .
or send us back to 2013 and put the cast of secrets and lies in for a while

I agree. The time bomb is supposed to be something linked to time. So the first one shifted us to,the first eviction which is usually within the first couple of weeks instead it was in the first couple of hours. The second one fast forwarded us to the end to vote for a winner. There hasn't been any others that are time linked. They have just been kinks (I wouldn't even call them twists)

They could at 8pm at night rewind the clock to 8am and make them stay up for two or three days on the trot doing tasks. .

Eviction nights could be changed. Nomination day could be changed.

I like your ground hog day idea.

They could send them back in time to a different decades and make them live like that for a week. Maybe given the VE Day theme and get them to live like the war years with air raid sirens going off at all hours, living on rations, working as land girls or air raid wardens that sort of thing.

There is bound to be one week where the evictee can "rewind" time and go back in the house.

Seems more like having a theme title just because it sounds good. It seems to have little bearing on the actual show.
In the warning about adult content before each show we have the 'As time ticks away, viewers are warned...etc.' But it doesn't even mean anything.

I do think the theme will quietly fade away

Wasn't there word that some former HMs would be introduced at some point? Probably the Usual Suspects.

It definitely feels like they had quite a few plans for it and for some reason have abandoned it... Some focus group or other acting confused over it perhaps?

Let's see, we are only two weeks in after all...

I think they may have put the timebomb to one side for the moment, as Jade has used her luxury bomb thing and they had plans for that they have done instead. Have to see if it gets back to any timebombing or fades into nothing after today I recon.

Jade used her luxury far too early imo.

Its a bit like that bomb that Hitler dropped on London 70 odd years ago and was found last week, a complete dud. Thats what both have in common, both dropped on us from a great height and by idiots Hitler and BB Producers.

It's nothing new. Channel 5 have come up with some brilliant themes and not made much use of them. Look at the recent fairytale theme they did. So much they could have done with that but they did very little.

I like some of the ideas on this thread. Like the groundhog day idea of them having to repeat the same things over and over.

Have them do the same task two or three days running. Remember a few years ago the multiple sun tan thing where they weren't allowed to say no. Do an insomnia task two days running.

On a Monday announce they are travelling forward to Eviction night, then right before a housemate leaves the house (housemates not having nominated that week yet and having no clue who is up) rewind back to do the nominations.

I like those ideas Really mess with their heads.

Amazing ideas, but as per usual - the fans could run the show better.

What does being given luxury food have to do with anything 'timebombish'? They do that sort of thing almost every series.

wouldn't be surprised if BB drop the theme because they cannot be arsed as usual (ROLLEYES)

I agree. It was all image and no substance.
I have no idea what was supposed to be fairytale-like about the last series.
All it seemed to be was an opportunity for the art department to come up with some nice looking graphics for when the design was flashed up on screen.

How about nominations that are for the next week, but housemates think that they are for the current week. The housemates won't understand what's going on. They'll be setting each other up thinking they can get someone evicted on Friday, but will be confused if they couldn't get them out because they wouldn't know that their nominations counted for the next week instead.

Let's hope they do something like that. It looked promising but finished as a no brainier. Nothing time bomb about it. Why not go into outer space and leave some of em there😜 I like the Groundhog Day too.

Agreed. The fairy tale theme could have been amazing!! After the first week or so, they just forget that they have a theme

No, they keep doing it every week. I didn't mean for one week only, I meant every week.
