How has this series been so far?

I have watched every big brother series except this one as i haven't had time. I always used to post on here too ( deana and gina fan).

The ratings have been awful apparently. How are the housemates? Tasks and the show in general?

Is it a good series? As i love the past 2 civilian series

It's not great tbh but it's not thaat bad either, the housemates are all quite average and there are no massive personalities :/

Really, really good in my view. Easily one of the better CH5 series. The overall group is a bit lacking and could've been better but all things considered [editing/production/presentation] within the entirety i'd rate it quite high at the moment.

I'm enjoying it a lot but it's certainly a slow burner. As others have said, it feels more like a BB of old where you're not quite sure about half the housemates and how they'll turn out. People like Joel/Christian/Nick and Kieran I find interesting to watch in a group dynamic.

It's certainly a more comfortable watch than the last series. I'm really enjoying it, I've think they've got the balance right with the housemates, and there's nobody I'd yet describe as boring or horrible.

I agree with this, I'm really enjoying it.

It's unfortunate the ratings are low, I don't know if the last series put viewers off but it feels so refreshing compared to the housemates of last year.

Very slow to get going and it's still stuttering.

Funny in places only

But way too contrived to be believable or watchable

If you think of how much happens in 24 hrs - then they distil it to one hour - and even then still most of it is repetitive -makes you feel that the producers are only interested in ratings .

Like I said in post elsewhere : Follow the money

You do get to feel that as so very little of what really happens is actually shown to the viewers - it is a patchwork quilt of disjointed cameos contrived to present a certain calculated view and not much reality -

So in sum there is very little for viewers left to engage with

It's been a good start, but we are seeing those old habits which killed the last few series creeping in as the ratings are down

Promoting showmances constantly, meddling where it's not needed to force arguments, etc.
