Have you got the space for it? they are not small. you really have to look at how often you will use it, I know someone who had one a few years back and used it about 4 time in a year.
I suppose it depends how much tandoori stuff you are going to make.

OIh yes, they are a pain in the neck to clean.

If you have a garden you could make a BBQ pit or oil drum BBQ as an alternative. Will be a lot cheaper and used for general BBQ & cooking as well.

Not really a tandoori oven is it? a tandoori oven is suppose to be clay.

But as i said unless it is going to be used a lot then it is not really worth getting. I have never used one myself, but I have seen one being used.

The actual oven is clay so yes, it is a tandoori oven.

If you took notice of the post I responded to, you would have noticed I was on a about the BBQ pit or oil drum BBQ not being a Tandoori oven so is not really a alternative

It is a lot of money if you are not going to make the best use of it. If you was going to use it at least once a month, it may be worth it, but the problem with some of these devices is that they seem like a good idea at the time, but then they end up being put away and not used again after the first few weeks or maybe months.

The one i saw being used was used a lot, almost every couple of weeks, but then it got less and less.
