EE Have the writers run out of ideas for Roxy
With the recent Roxy/Ronnie/Charlie storyline which was obviously rushed due to Aleks's departure have the writers got bored of Roxy?

I think they might have done - I think getting rid of Aleks was a massive mistake as they were a good couple and the affair with Charlie has had her revert to little tart who can't exist without a man.

Roxy has been redundant pretty much since 2008. She doesn't function as a character in her own right anymore, her development is totally dependent on Ronnie.

It's a shame because I love Rita Simons. I don't want her to leave Eastenders because I'd still really miss her, even though she's never given much to do. It's not hard to bring other characters in and to think up storylines for her. They just can't seem to be bothered and seem to favour Sam Womack over Rita. (Not that there's anything wrong with Sam but her and Rita are equally as good actresses as eachother, it's just Sam has always been given the much better and deeper material.) 😕 They don't seem to be very good with planning ahead or realising how departures of certain characters or certain storylines, will then affect the usage of other characters. It's annoying.

She was excellent at the start of the year. She was great bonding with Ineta briefly. Since the affair with Charlie, she has gone back to square one. Ronnie has always been the better sister. Roxy is just like a slightly less chavy version of Bianca only with two less kids and less financial problems.

When Roxy was friends with Christian and just friends with Alfie she was much better. She has become boring and yes her character just goes round in circles. Without Ronnie she would have no story at all. I didn't like her with Aleks though. I don't think they had much chemistry. Roxy's stories just revolve around finding or keeping a man and that's it apart from being Ronnie's sister. Roxy is like a teenager in a grown woman's body. Maybe it's time she was axed?

I think they have maybe. What happened to her being pregnant? Was that just all speculation? I thought someone had seen it in a soap mag. Not that I want her to be
I could see her having a thing with Vincent. That could be interesting

I agree with the majority of comments on here and like Rita but if they aren't goingto do anything with the character they would be better writing her out

I think for the most part giving Roxy something to do away from Ronnie has worked pretty well, so I'm not sure why that hasn't happened in awhile. While I like Ronnie's and Roxy's relationship, I'd like to see Roxy on her own a bit more. |
