There should not be an upper age limit.

What BB should be doing is voiding any nominations that make reference to Eileen's age & automatically barring that HM from nominating that week.

Her age is absolutely not a reason to nominate her.

People are people. You cannot fit them into whatever boxes you think they belong in.

I've seen no indication she's "acting" as anything but herself.

So everyone 50+ has to act like you? Live your life?

Grow up.”

And also, OP, take some English lessons while you are living it. They might help people to understand your written work.

She's in the BB house. Is she supposed to sit around knitting? There's no age limit for having fun and being a bit silly. Personally I don't like Eileen but I don't think she should be penalised because of her age.

I read that there's an ancient law which states that if you haven't grown up by the time you're fifty you don't have to. I've been living by that law for the last 11 years

Firstly do not use the Lords name in vain to swear at me. Don't like it. It offends me.
Secondly I am most cerntainly NOT tellying people what they should think or post. what the hell are you on about.?

I asked for clarification on what had been written , what part of telling people how to think and post did you get from that

A broader age range and balance makes for better viewing in my eyes. The Celeb BB always seems to have the right sort of mix.”

Yes. That would be good.

For your information… It is an awesome post because it exactly reflects my view.

People tend to put everything into labelled boxes and don’t accept anything that doesn’t fit in. I do understand you may not like someone on personal level but dismissing someone because it doesn’t fit the pattern (if it doesn’t hurt anyone) is beyond me.

I have friends of all ages and I see the struggle in some of them … They want and are capable of doing so many things but feel the society doesn’t allow them and there is no more space for them.

And I say why not. Do whatever you want as long as you want and your body and mind enables you to. There are many ways of living.

Well thanks for the clarification that you thinks it's awesome and the reasons why and excellent that you have a healthy confidence to view your opinions as such but you didn't need to open the sentence with "For your information"..it was posted to me.

Anyhoo, I not sure what your point is about me "dismissing someone because it doesn't fit a pattern." I am genuinely stumped at what you are on about

I must admit to smirking when Sarah said Eileen is not her idea of what an older woman is. Is there a template or something?

I'm probably not her idea of what an older woman is either, I'm no Eileen but I'm no Mary Berry either

I strongly recommend it These young'uns don't have a clue. In the past few years I've been to numerous parties and the best ones have been with the ones who according to these hm "should know better and act their age". My kids, grandkids and their friends say the "oldie" parties are much more fun cos nobody is trying to impress anybody, just having a bliddy good time

This is the problem for me. I don't particularly love Eileen but it's nothing to do with age, she just doesn't interest me. But if you stick one "older" housemate in there with a bunch of vacuous 20 somethings then it's inevitable that they will be sidelined.

BIB Shouldn't they shine for this reason. More life experience etc....

Eileen is just awful. She makes me cringe. Nothing to do with her age but her fakeness. All the pouting and holding her head to one side trying to look coquettish in the diary room.

And every time she mentions another hm she does a rubbish OTT impression of them. It's like she's auditioning for a role in one of her films all the time. Also all the maggot and third eye rubbish. I just can't bear her.

I feel exactly the same way. BBoldie.

I go from being incredelous at her stroppiness and dismissive arrogant attitude, to being actually embarrassed for her when she starts acting & throwing shapes which are quite frankly appalling. I find her utterly ridiculous and wouldn't miss her presence one iota from the house.
