"Polyamorous is a posh word for immorality"

Ignorant little twerp. I'm not polyamorous myself, but the idea that a consensual, loving relationship between two or more people being immoral is baffling to me.

Everything about Joel screams emotional immaturity. It's like there's nothing more to him that his current-generation conservative ideology, it just equates to general unpleasantness when demonstrated on a show like this.

To be fair to Joel many people on here were saying it's just a fancy word for slag so he's not alone. Though I'm not saying that's right.

I've gone totally off Joel lately

He is so judgmental...so he is no different to any of us on here

But I don't like what he said. "Immoral" yeah right. Who made Joel the paradigm of morality?

I agree with him. Shes not even polyamorous, just some bs she said to come across as interesting when auditioning.

Isn't it more moral to be honest with people, and more immoral to be monogamous and cheat on your partner?

Joel's jumped off the fence and chosen the side with the most people. I get the feeling that safety in numbers is the way to survive life in that house. It happens so much.

I think society needs to open their eyes, and their minds in a big way!! Social conditioning creates so many problems.

'We've always done it this way,' is the most stunting phrase to human expansion. Not to mention everything that comes along with it - the ridicule, judgementalness, and prejudice and such.

If women want sex, and are open about that they are sluts. If they are not, then they are frigid prudes. Hmmmmm.

That's not what he said. He said that being polyamorous or whatever is immoral.

Yeah, a lot of people on people on here are just as reactionary and shortsighted. A "posh" way of saying judgemental douchebags.

Joel is very backstabbing, again jade and nick have done nothing to him in fact they're really lovely to him , there's very few housemates I like right now

Having an opinion isn't a defence when it's ignorant.

But seeing as he is nineteen, it's not surprising.

I don't think it's his age as much as he's decided to be judgemental and opinionated. He'd rather spout from a soapbox than make the effort of learning and understanding.

I really don't think it is immoral went consenting adults are involved.
Maybe Joel is upset that Jade chose Nick to snuggle and not him lol

I think he has just been quite closed off from other walks of life, that's why I was all for the Aaron stuff... opening Joel's eyes a bit.

Well he is the one who wants to be Prime Minister Learning about and understanding the wider populace isn't within their remit

Anyway, her being into open relationships fits perfectly with her 'im so beautiful' and 'my auras more powerful than yours' crap.
Full of it.

Talking of polyamorous, I watch Made in Chelsea (for my sins ) and last year they did a series in New York. There was a guy on there, one of the Americans, who is polyamorous. He has a girlfriend with whom he lives, she is also polyamorous. They have relationships with other people but are honest and open about the situation, nobody presumably gets hurt, it's all above board and this is how they live.

If that's the way people who are polyamorous conduct their lives then that's totally up to them ... as long as they ARE completely honest with those they meet and wish to conduct a relationship with.

He's the archetypal young fogey, ie. a judgmental, narrow-minded little twerp.

Well it's worth bearing in mind that his ambition is to become a future Conservative politician.

Give it a few years he'll probably be into all the seedy stuff that Tory politicians in the past have hit the news headlines with.
Just don't ask Joel to do a task which involves a piece of rope and an orange.
