I think Joel was being polite about it tbh. To me it's a posh/pretentious word for skank, but whatever.

Open your mind. Your social conditioning is showing. Think about it - if you had been conditioned to see relationships in the way that Jade does, those that have monogamous relationships would be the ones coming under fire. We tend to think that our way is the way that it SHOULD be. Throw in all of the crap that women undergo when it comes to anything sexual, by society's standards, and you've got a sure recipe for 'skank.'

As proven by this thread, we all have different and sometimes opposing views and should respect them.

It's just a new word for open relationship, they've been around for a very long time. If a woman who practices open relationships is a skank (what a nasty word that is), what's the word for a male who does? Is there a male word for skank?

In Jade's case, though, I wonder if she's even fully knowledgeable about what it means, I think she means she's not into relationships and just sleeps with whoever she fancies (like most of the population do), whereas it doesn't mean that. She tends to label herself a LOT and big herself up, trying to make herself sound different and (in her mind) better.

All that 'I'm deeply emotional' malarkey... most of us are, love.

He did say it was his opinion, not fact, and good for him for not being afraid to express an unpopular opinion.

It's an opinion I don't agree with but yes, I agree, it's his opinion and he has every right to express it

He's a virgin, so what does he know. Also was Eileen near by when he said that? Wonder what the ex porn star would make of that comment.

So are you suggesting it's immoral for three people to be in an equally consensual relationship if they're all honest, open and happy with their situation?

I think maybe Joel thinks she is "polyamouring" without telling all the other parties?

If people want 100 partners that is up to them, not the moral police, maybe try and get laid and you might see what you are missing. just save up a few quid and you can get a hooker.

Well, she agreed with him about waterboarding being acceptable, so...

So is polyamorous (or whatever the word is) having multiple relationships on the go? The only thing that I would see as immoral would be if one of the people involved had no idea of the arrangement and was led to believe they were in an exclusive relationship. Then they could have a legitimate grievance. Otherwise consenting adults can do what they want. I don't see a moral dimension to it if it's all honest.

Yes, I agree. And from what we've seen of Jade, I think she comes across as very frank about that sort of thing.

I was of the opinion that Jade's Polyamerous claim was a clause to be a "sleep around girl"

I still think she is such.

But if you dig deeper, as history shows, and some unknown FM on here have sent me links, certain religeons practice this just fine.

For Excample, a man can take 4 wives and produce off spring with each, but a woman can not take 4 husbands as she may not know who the father of her child is.

Unfair YES, Practical YES, but that is the way it works. It is all down to culture.

If I were to claim to have a polyamours relationship that would mean I can date & sleep with who ever I likes, but still love you at the end of the day.

Nonono !!!! I can date you casually as with any other guys & sleep with you, but that does not make a relationship, That to me is a friends with Benefits relationship & Jade has many "Friends"

OMG After 21 years of monogamy marriage, I can still see the plus side of friends with benefits and still apprreciate the difference ofPolyamarous relationships, and a licsence to put it about.

When I first set my eyes on him, I thought to myself that this is a character that is going to be a stirrer and sit on he fence. He is doing exactly this, and have you noticed that he never talks freely, it' always calculated and insincere. He always ask questions and then ponders over the answers, his facial expression are a dead giveaway.

Get him out

I think Joel is right. Polyamorous IS just a posh way of saying she's a trollop.

I'm Ployhandorous, by the way. I like to use either hand when I'm 'cracking one off'

So you have the right to rant on here but Joel can't have his opinion? If so you are a bigot.

Definition of bigot:

bigoted
ˈbɪɡətɪd/
adjective
obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, and intolerant towards other people's beliefs and practices.

Sounds like Joel to me.

The general attitude of some of the people posting in this thread is far more shocking than someone choosing a polyamorous lifestyle.

I truly despair that in this day and age people are still using words like slapper, skank, slut and slag to describe a woman who just admits to having a lifestyle and outlook that doesn't conform to outdated sexist standards. As well as my disgust you have my pity.

lol @ 'morals'. They are just organised religion's way of getting you to censor yourself when they can't watch over you, pretty pathetic that he has fallen into that trap. Jade's 'spiritualism' rubbish is just as laughable

It's the same meaning as having an "open relationship". Jade is just using the proper word for it.

Anyway it's up to her what she decides to do in her relationships, so long as nobody is getting hurt.

Joel is still young and I had the feeling he was using that to get attention. Perhaps having a chat with Jade and asking her about it, would have been the more mature option. He's still got a lot of learning to do and would fair better by being less judgemental until he learns what he's talking about.
