Your 'gob' is dependent on your situation and upbringing. It is able to change.

Thanks for that very good example Annsyre. Jade built a very successful business when she left the house too and it shows how motivated she was to change her life around and to ensure her children had better educational opportunities in life than she did.

I am working class, my parents were working class and my grandparents were working class. We all went to work to provide for our families. Everyone who works to earn a living belongs to the working class.

That of course was in live feed days and it was fascinating to be able to listen to the HMs. I have never forgotten this particular event. Jade was a victim of her upbringing yet she managed to become a dental nurse and then go on to better things. She always reminded me of my grandparents and their generation from the east end of London who worked so hard to better themselves and made sure that their children went to school to improve their life chances.

And as said I grew up in a even lower class than her my upbringing is likley to have been worse than her's.

But no matter what she would be the same as she is now.

I don't like her for 2 reasons.

1) She supports UKIP.

2) The way she talks to and treats other people.

If you want respect you have to give others respect first.

I don't necessarily like her in a social context, however I think it is appalling the way some FMs talk about her on here.

FYI what you said about her upbringing is conjecture.

And others in there are working class and have a job that is no better.

Maybe it's her who has the problem with it and nobody else as I said I think she is embarressed about where she comes from.

She's also a sexist, when she was arguing with Danny she expected special treatment because of her gender. She thought it was ok to shout at him but thought he shouldn't be allowed to shout back

The same here Annsyre. My upbringing was from a very poor background. We were all encouraged to leave school and get work to help support the family. But now that my siblings and I have our own grown up families, we encouraged them to study and go to university. You don't need money to educate yourself.

Sexism is a political term. We live in a patriarchal society, therefore women cannot be sexist. They can be prejudiced though.

It was a heated time. Men need to be aware of the fact that most of them are physically stronger then most women and this can cause them to be defensive verbally.

Does anyone think she is unintelligent then? She is - however - very loud and annoying, prone to ridiculous hissy fits, a bit spiteful in her comments, and doesn't know when to shut up to avoid herself looking stupid.

Finally someone who did not have a good education can rise above that be learning about the world around them. A lot of people are too lazy to pick up a book these days.

All of the above.

Agreed. I have a big issue with anti-intellectualism and wilful stupidity. Starving the education system of funding doesn't help this.

I've got no time for her. She has absolutely awful communication skills and a temper like an animal. I don't mind swearing at all, however every other word that comes out of her mouth is the f word. It's not attractive whatsoever. Also, during her argument with Danny she protested that he should apologise to her because she's "a woman". So what? If you scream and shout aggressively like a banshee and tell the entire group to shut up, then you need to be prepared for someone to tell you to shut up right back. Whether she's male or female is irrelevant...she was like a crazed nut job. She also will not stop banging on about how she's "working class", and during the first week when she was announced as one of the most popular housemates, she had the cheek to say to Jack "Finally us working class are getting a bit of recognition". I mean, seriously?! She has a huge complex about the fact she works in a café and won't amount to anything else, and has admitted that she has no decent qualifications. Nobody in their right mind would employ this woman in a job other than a café...she has an absolutely awful attitude and a mouth like a sewer. For her to act like she'll never get anywhere else in life is lazy and ridiculous...she's in her twenty's and could easily go and re-sit GCSE's, A Levels. She chooses not to. She chooses to be lazy and wallow in self pity yet disguise it as if she deserves more recognition because she's a "working class bird". Even if there was an ounce of sense in anything that came out of her mouth, the fact every other word is the f word makes anything she spouts redundant in my opinion. She's a horrible woman.

Oh dear, you just went full crazy feminist. This makes you look bad

Sexism is discrimination based on gender. Harriet discriminated against Danny on the basis of his gender, therefore she is sexist

I thought it was telling when Harriet said on last night's show that her mother had told her not to give respect to people until they give it to her. If we all followed that advice, how difficult our lives would be..

Good luck with that.

How is that crazy feminist? Most politicians, business CEOs (i.e. the people that have the power) are men and therefore the decisions they make will reflect that.

Sexism is discrimination based on gender, I admit maybe the way my last post was articulated was not correct. However, all HMs are in the context of a patriarchal society. Think about that.

You can dismiss my views as 'crazy' all you want.

Exactly. She does nothing to improve her case whatsoever. There's a lot of reverse snobbery around in her outlook too.

Some people need to be told.

I've made you think though haven't I?
