You will need to get it unlocked as the deal between EE and BT Mobile hasn't been fully complete and won't be till next year according to a EE source.
Just had a word with BT Mobile also they totally contracted EE by saying ;- "It should work perfectly fine in a EE locked handset". |

BT Mobile's service is active, and reports in this group indicate that EE locked phones work |

In theory it's connecting to the same mast so it should work. |

You believe customer service too often.
Its nothing to do with the mast, its all to do with the code on the sim card. I am pretty confident BT Sims will work in EE phones. |

If EE do have to unlock the phone, it costs about £8...unless I was ripped off 😐
