No, I couldn't. Could you pick out Bedfordshire from a map of outlined counties in Britain or Kenya from a map of outlined countries in Africa?

Pedants are ruining what should be a fun light hearted thread.

Err ... it's a thread about quizzes. It follows that most contributors would see accuracy as important. Just don't get me started on Holland/Netherlands, the largest island or the Wedding March. And especially not the youngest president.

Yes and yes (probably)

(Texas is easy 'cos it's even shaped like a lower-case 't' )

That is what is known as a knock-out blow.

She was cleared of being complicit with the fiddling (ahem), but still banned because the qualifying times weren't valid. So she has been digitally removed from all the films of the event.

Quite. Anyway, what's the blindingly obvious answer we're all supposed to know? Fox's? McVitie's? Cadbury's?

It was McVities but I've never heard of Boaster to be honest. I just thought Walkers was a strange guess for that.

He's absolutely terrible for that. You'd never get the likes of Kevin doing that and, for all his faults, CJ, either.

Is that really THE most stupid answer on a quiz show though?

I wouldn't have had a scooby with that question. I can easily imagine blurting out Prince Charles under time pressure, he's one of only about 3 royals I could name and I've no knowledge whatsoever of how the order of succession is arranged! 😁

Can't remember the show. Probably an old 15-to-1 as I've been watching a few of those lately.

Q: Which UK Country was Henry VII born in?
A: France

The question is unclear: presumably it should be "In which current UK country was Henry VII born?", given that the UK didn't exist at the time of his birth. Didn't we own France back then anyway?

It is also possible that the contestant was vaguely aware that one of the Kings Henry of England was born in France (Henry II)

The funniest thing I ever heard was on Family Fortunes on the end part. A woman in her 50's -Les Dennis said

"Name something red" and her answer was:
"My cardigan Les"
