Some right thickos on Celebrity Mastermind tonight. Stacey Dooley was asked, Touché is associated with which sport? She answered snooker.

She really was dozey wasn't she?!

They all are. Cheryl Fergison was even more stupid if that's possible.

This is why I don't bother with Celebrity Mastermind. It's about the most pointless of all the celebrity quizzes.

The highest score is 16. Says it all. Why do they bother going on a general knowledge quiz show just to show how stupid they are.

Maybe she thought she had to answer something rather than pass. I'm sure it isnt snooker, but I dont have a clue

It's fencing. But she got lot's of incredibly easy answers wrong. She and Cheryl Fergison were an embarrassment.

To be fair, I think a lot of them probably do it as a goodwill gesture to raise some money for their chosen charity. If you're looking for hardcore quizzing I don't think Celebrity Mastermind's your best bet. It's just a bit of good-natured fun for Christmas.

I understand if their general knowledge isn't great but to get only 3 or 4 answers correct on your so called specialist subject is embarrassing. I knew more about Elton John than Cheryl Fergison did.

I doubt there is anything specialist about their specialist interest. The producers just ask them for a topic they might know at least a little bit about. It's not like they are professional quizzers that would cram for a quiz even if it was not a subject they were especially interested in.

I would be mortified going on a quiz show and showing myself up like that.

Though the Christmas University Challenge had a low yesterday, University of East Anglia was still on -5 after twenty minutes.

The celebs can laugh it off and say it's a bit of fun for charity.
Now if it happened in the proper version and a contender tried to laugh it off then that would be embarrassing.

One guy got called out for it as he had a score of 4 or something and said he did it as a joke for his kids. Yeah right!

Surely it's done Stacey Dooley more harm than good by showing herself up like that. How can people who hire her as a serious journalist or investigative reporter take her seriously now.

Getting a low score on a quiz show doesn't make her bad at her job. There's more important things in the world. I really enjoy her documentaries.

But showing your stupidity is.

You don't have to be a genius to be a journalist. A big part is research, no? It wouldn't be fun if you already knew everything. I guess everyone has different definitions of stupid.

She's just bad at her job anyway in my opinion. I can't watch her. It's a shame as some of the topics she covers are interesting. Her questions are usually useless and her voice goes right through me. They need to give her assignments to other young journalists.

There was once a team on Masterteam called The Antrim Coasters. The most famous thing on the Antrim Coast is the Giants Causeway.

The team was asked in which county is The Giants Causeway. I couldn't believe how jammy it was that they got asked a question that was basically the name of their team i.e. Antrim BUT THEY GOT IT WRONG!!!!

Not heard of Masterteam. What channel is that on?
