OMG I never missed that on a Sunday. Loved it. Favourite was always "Which country drives on the left?".
So what was the answer? My answer would be "Quite a few".

Is it true when asked how many sides does a square have? Joey Essex answered 6!
Actually the professional simpleton may've been quoting the old joke -
"left side, right side, top side, bottom side, inside and outside!"

Dunno if this has been mentioned but I had a great email years ago listing loads of really dubious answers for Family Fortunes. The ones that always amuse me are:
Name a bird with a long neck - Naomi Campbell!
Name something a blind person would use - a sword!
Name a dangerous race - The Arabs

My favourite one was on the American version...

Something you pass around - A joint. The best part was that it was actually one of the top answers

Donal Macintyre was once on All Star Family Fortunes.

The question was 'name an animal with three letters in it's name' and he slammed the buzzer and said 'lion'

I remember them laughing at some poor man when they asked, Name something that flies, that doesn't have an engine. And he answered, A bicycle with wings. Well....

Well technically he was correct, the word lion does indeed have three letters in it.

Lion has three letters, then a fourth. Hippo starts with three letters, then continues. It's the old 'how many months have 28 days' vibe...

Poirot's manservant/valet was called Georges, maybe that's what they were thinking of

For a bonus point, what was Hastings first name

The Chaser Shaun was asked tonight, Pepperoni and salami get their name from which language? He said Romanian. He was also asked which beans are used to make chocolate. He said soya beans. And he's a quiz master.

Thanks, I see it now. "In it" as opposed to "is composed of".

Shaun's the weakest chaser by miles IMO. He seems to have some large gaps in his knowledge and his guesses can be quite embarrassingly off the mark sometimes.

Isn't the idea to give the contestants a sporting chance?

Only watched it a couple of times, but I get the impression they sometimes deliberately get the odd one wrong. Certainly true in the celeb editions I've seen.
