Extension to the Eastenders set
The Eastenders set is being made 20% bigger, Is it just for actor's comfort and back stage convenience for the crew as they say or are they planning a fifth episode? Andifso how will that effect the quality? How many new characters would have to be brought in to accomodate the extra episode? So many questions very little in the way of answers!!

They are building a new set and extending it, I presume work started as this was announced in 2014 it's due to be completed in 2018. I doubt they would do a 5th episode it's all about better having a better set and improving conditions for staff.

Probably doing a new set for the same reason as Corrie.
HD bought greater detail, therefore viewers noticing aspects of the set were exactly that...set. Brickwork looked fake, walls juddered when doors were shut, and basically not enough space to accommodate new fangled cameras. As an aside, why would a bigger set equate to a 5th episode? |

The set was made of plywood and render and was only planned to have a life scale of 18 months.
The fact that it's now 30 later and we've moved on to HD has ment the outdoor plot need completely rebuilding. |
