HTC one m8 /m9 'DOT View' case, Good/or poor?
The HTC one m8 and m9 has a dot view case, where you can see the phone ringing, texts, alerts from the case in a dot view format.
Have you used this case for the htc m8/9, as it seems to have alot of negative views Yet it seems such a cool feature. http://www.amazon.co.uk/HTC-Dot-Flip...ustomerReviews 44 Negative reviews (out of 500+) and http://www.amazon.co.uk/TECHGEAR%C2%...ustomerReviews 46 Negative reviews (out of 400+) Have you used this dot view case/cover. What was your view of it ?? and which other m8/m9 case have you bought and used before which you have found to be good? (can you show an image of it) Thank you. |

I used to have a M8 with the Dot View case. I could barely see notifications in daylight and it was quite stiff in much as it didn't stay fully closed and you had to hold it open using both hands to use the phone. It was impossible to use the phone left handed at all.

Poor. The corners break off easily.

I find it sturdy and well made. I agree that the strong hinge makes it awkward to use one-handed; however you can bend the front right round so you are holding it against the rear of the phome, and it will snap back with no "stretch" on the hinge. Agree with the difficulty in sunlight, although I tend to use it just to see the time (quick double tap on the front). I don't understand about not staying fully closed: the hinge on mine forces the case fully closed unless I'm holding it open. Another useful aspect is when the case is fully open the rubberised front will hold the phone on a dashboard: useful if you use numerous vehicles without a dedicated holder as I do at work.
Overall, a thumbs up from me. But an absolute ripoff at £30. |

I have to say that the m8 dotview case was more than I expected. protected my m8 perfectly and at the same time looked great
