Nicks Nominations..?

Why does Nick get an easy ride on this forum for struggling with nominations in WEEK 2? I am sorry but anybody else who made this fuss over nominating so early on would be hated by this forum and his pathetic reasons for nominating people what is that all about? he obviously wanted to nominate Chloe and Aaron anyway but just came up with ridiculous excuses.

and please do not tell me it is because he is having to do it face to face.. as all of them are basically doing it face to face with big brother showing them to the house afterwards.

Of course there's a difference between face to face and DR nominations, the other housemates didn't know their noms would be shown.

The difference is though that they didn't know their nominations would be shown whereas Nick knows that he has to say his to people's faces. Had the housemates known theirs would be shown I'm sure that there would have been some different noms.

Nick has to live with these people and have them screaming in his face if they don't like Him picking them so yes it can come across as cowardly to pick easier targets but for someone who's maybe not so confrontational or would like to avoid an argument then it's easier to vote someone who might be more forgiving and less argumentative than him vote for someone like Harriet who would probably make sure he never hears the end of it. If big brother want Nick to give better reasons then let him vote in private like everyone else.

As the others have said it's completely different as the others nominated thinking the people they were nominating wouldn't know.

Also Nick has mentioned before that he struggles with public speaking. I think that's a bigger deal to him, standing up and addressing the group. It also doesn't help that he then has to insult 2 people.

None of them knew that theirs would be shown. the guy has a fear of standing up and speaking in public and confrontation, I know the feeling because I have the same fears. If that was me doing it in there I would be an absolute mess so I think he is holding up well and doing a good job of it.

Would you go into the Big Brother house for potentially weeks on end with cameras following your every move.? Methinks Nick is a clever little sausage

Yes I would actually. I look at what he has done with entering the BB house as the same as me going back to Uni. I allowed my fears to stop me from returning to education for years and I finally did it last year I started again. I have a lot of public speaking in my course and it has been extremely difficult but by tackling it I am giving myself the courage to eventually overcome it or at least control it.
Maybe Nick has managed to come to this crossroad in life a lot sooner than I did and I hope he does manage to overcome his fears and grow as a person.

I disagree. I believe what he said about not wanting to be responsible for anybody being up for eviction. He picked the ones he thought least likely to be up as a result of his nomination. He also avoided the ones that Jade mentioned so that peopel wouldn't think he was being influenced but I suspect he would have preferred those choices.

I think, as Harriet said, that this choices were definitely a cop-out and not the right thing to do. If everyone thought like him the people being up for eviction would be the people most people wouldn't want up! It's irresponsible to play games like that. At least if you nominate who you most want to leave your conscience would be clear and nobody could have an issue with your choice.

He made a mistake and he admitted that. Life is a learning process and he's learning. I expect his next nominations will be very different.

I really don't like the fact that Nick has said both times 'I'm only nominating these people because I think they're safe' - he can't possibly know who's safe and who isn't. It's a cop out - I know it must be really hard doing it face to face but he's doing himself no favours fannying around like that.

He should choose a valid reason and nominate like anyone else. If he carries on like this people will become resentful - he will get more respect if he nominates truthfully.

I've gone off him lately. He should grow a pair of balls.
