Iphone 5c problem
Hello everyone
I have an iphone 5c, only had this phone 2 months and I got it on contract as a refurbished model as I wanted the bigger memory of 32gb. Anyways I put it on charge yesterday while nipping out to the shop. and when I came home the phone is off and won't come on nothing? The screen shows nothing even with a charger in and nothing when trying to switch it on. Has this happened to anyone please, will 02 fix it as I haven't had it long as I didn't take out any insurance. Didn't expect this am I stuffed over this? |

Sale of Goods Act is your friend. Has to be fut for purpose.. Which this clearly isn't. Take it back to o2.

Even if it's refurbished, it still should have come with a warranty? I think if you take it to the Apple store they should be able to fix it, and it should be free.

But, as it came from O2, it might be best to contact them first to see if they can solve the problem. |

You can check its Apple warranty status at https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do

I did go and buy a new charger today. Tried it from a plug and through the computer but nothing. Thanks much appreciation I can rest easy now till I can get it looked at. |

Apple may be the best option as suggested - but legally you could just go back to o2 and expect them to sort it.
It all comes down to the fact your contract is with o2 and its their responsibility to fix. This is why I'd never buy extended warranties - the SOGA would cover people easily up to 24 months on a phone with no problems |

Don't go to O2. They'll send it off to be fixed and you'll be without it for God knows how long.
If you go to an apple shop they will fix or replace it there and then. |

Have you tried a Soft Reset?
To do this, hold the home button and the power (sleep) button down together for 10-20 seconds. When you see the Apple logo you can let go. The phone will start up and go back to the lock screen eventually. Good luck! |

Definitely try what zapod says first. If no luck then Apple should be the first port of call. They'll probably replace it on the spot if they can't get it going.
