Nexus 4 crashes every time there's an update
I gave my old nexus 4 to my OH who has a work phone so only needs a personal phone some of the time.
The phone has always crashed (black screen, unresponsive even though charged) when an OS update was ready to be installed, and fine after the installation. However it's now crashing when multiple apps need updating. That's on manual setting rather than auto update to save on battery life. Time for a new phone, or any work around this one? It's on lollipop. thanks |

Run Ccleaner if that doesnt help then factory reset.
You're not going to save any battery life by only doing updates manualy. |

You will have to log back into your Google account. Then it should download your apps and settings (in theory that is). You will have to log back into stuff like Facebook and Twitter. Make sure you have your contacts and photos syncing to the Google servers before the reset and you wont lose anything.
Avoid ccleaner. It is a absolute piece of utter shite. |

It only cleans what you can do manually and it saves you the job of going through the settings to do each "clean" one after the other i cant see what your utter shite is on about. |
