At least it's keeping the decent characters in though. I bet hardly anyone votes these days so that's why they mess about with it so much. The public make little difference and are less attached - probably cos the show has been on so long.

If Jade goes what we got to look forward to? Danny and Sarah cuddling up? Nick picking his nose and playing in the bath with Joel? Pie face? The twins sitting there like gargoyles?

I know I did. Think about it. It is common sense. If you like someone, you are going to want them to stay. You are going to be annoyed if anything interferes with their progress. Know what I mean? Conversely, you are going to feel the way you feel if you look at it from the opposite end.

I feel like the public simply cannot be trusted to make the right choices. I like that Big Brother is stepping in at this point.

I really really love this twist. I didn't think C5 had it in them!

This is really the first big twist to the series, I think the rants would be more warranted if we were 7 weeks down the line and this happened.

Sega, I take it you are not happy?

Depends on the characters, I suppose. BB knows that Jade is the most talked about one just now and looking at the poor viewing figures, they really cant afford to lose her. They could've tried stitching her up, to generate sympathy. Well, it worked with Ashleigh last year, after her 'evil plan' backfired on her. Ok, I'm a hypocrite because I moaned about them keeping Helen in. Sue me!

Have you even been watching the last week?

They engineered it for Jade to receive multiple noms and be up, they couldn't have made that any clearer and as has been said on here all week they were obviously up to something, it was obvious Jade would somehow be saved after what they did to her.

The whole house switch is wrong though, but I do like it

I agree Jade is a big character - and BB has saved her.
But isnt Harriet a big character ?

Not as big as Jade, I don't think. She is way too aggressive, our Harriet. There is just no need for it. If she'd told me to stop whispering I would have told her to **** right off. Like, I can whisper if I want to. Who do you think you are?

Eileen wandering around like a patient from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest etc..

BB have finally gotten wise and took more control. The moronic public has had their period of control and largely ruined it. Now it's BB's time. Suck it up, bitches!”

So losing all credibility is saving the show now is it ? it's stuff like this that made people give up on BB in the first place.

They kicked out two housemates without a public vote last year (Marlon and Danielle.) I don't expect them to ever stick to any kind of "fairness" ever again.

Can't be bothered to get worked up over the latest farce in the perpetual farce of BB.

I just hope they do another quick twist and make Harriet safe. It's way too early for her to go.

Then you are the target demographic for this new, exciting era of shit Big Brother.

They wouldn't have had to save Jade if they hadn't brought back vote to evict - the public would've done it for them. Which was, supposedly, the point of the show in the first place.

Same here. BB on C5 lost all credibility many years ago. So this latest 'twist' is not a surprise.

No, it's not common sense at all.

If it was my favourite of course i would want them to stay, but for fair reasons. Nick is my favourite, he wouldn't have gone this week but i didn't want him to be saved from going up for eviction, that would make me a total hypocrite.

Let's look at this way. If my football team was fixing it so that the refs made sure my team won, i wouldn't want my team to get away with it, it wouldn't be right. That is what BB are doing here, they are fixing it to make sure that Jade stays, that isn't fair on fans of other HM's.

I guess I am. I want excitement. It's a game show. The public have shown themselves to have no idea what they are doing when it comes to preserving the entertainment of the show. I don't want to watch a boring series.

Another person that is missing the point.

They may be decent characters from your point of view, but what about the Harriet fans, the fans of the twins etc etc ? Yes, they do have fans. The people in charge of this show are basically saying that they don't matter. It's the kind of thing that would make people turn off.

Let's flip this and say Jade was the one put up for eviction, Jade fans would be very annoyed. And just like with Ashleigh fans last year, they would be shouting fix.

I have never seen one series die just because a HM was evicted. If Jade or anyone else went, things would still happen.

What has driven fans away though is manipulation and meddling.

I am not just talking about Jade though. I am talking about previous seasons of the show where the best characters are evicted by the short-sighted public. Then we later moan about how boring the show is. Can't have it both ways, and cannot be trusted, so I'd rather BB step in and preserve the entertainment. It is not just Jade up this week. Many of the houses more interesting characters are. I am just happiest about her being safe.

I don't understand why - it is a game show. It is not as if the British public are the most fair people in the world either. It is also not as if everybody is not a hypocrite in some capacity. We all pick and choose in life.

I think they are gonna put Danny and Sarah in a secret room.

So in a way I agree with you Sega, that will ruin the series.

Those people that moan are usually the fans of that person that was evicted. The rest of us just get on with it and enjoy the show.

You don't fix a tv show, it's a sure way to lose viewers.

At the moment the whole Jade issue dominates the house but if Jade leaves that lets other stories develop.
If the BB producers crowbar the Jade Show in we get a continuance of the Jade Show but we dont get the stories that would naturally develop if Jade were to leave.
Do we really just want the Jade show until the end.

This series is going exactly the same way as the last series. Once again we are seeing the show meddled with and fixed to the point where the show losses all credibiltiy.

The latest "twist" has saved every HM that was nominated and everyone that recieved the fewest noms are now up. They have fixed it to save the biggest characters from going. They knew Jade was going to go if she was up, it wouldn't have even been close, but because they want arguments, they fixed it so she would stay.

It would have been more acceptable if they had told us they were doing this before nominations took place. But let's be honest, we all know that this wasn't even planned before nominations took place, this was planned when they realised who was up for eviction.

The thing that has annoyed me more than anything about this twist is the fans reaction to it, especially on here. People on here have been moaning and groaning for years for the way BB is being handled on Channel 5, but the majority think that this "twist" is good. These same people moaned last year because BB let Helen get away with everything and made sure she got to the final, these same people moaned because Ashleigh was apparently being unfairly treated. The fans are almost as bad as the people in charge of this show. They are fine with any fix that takes place as long as it doesn't have a negative impact on their favourites or what they consider to be big characters. It's hypocritical and it says to the producers that they should never listen to any complaints the fans have of the show. Why bother listening to the fans when they are so hypocritical ?

Rant over.”

I'm a little confused Sega as I've seen you post many times that people are taking it all too seriously, yet now you appear to be doing the same
