I would first call for help and then try to enter the building. Why did Lian waste so much time ???

She didn't know for sure it was a fire I'm guessing until she got up there.

Plus people panic. She did feel for her phone before she entered the building though.

Yes and as soon as she ascertained it was a fire she wasted time bashing open the door with a fire extinguisher still failing to ring for the fire brigade Maybe she was hoping if she took as long as possible Carla would die

At one point the stupid woman was even standing outside Carla's flat doing nothing.

Any normal person would have gone to phone 999 straight away or at least shouted for help and banged on the doors.

Manchester fire services have even had to warn people not to do what Saint Leanne did -
"Don't try to tackle a big fire yourself like Leanne just did. Call 999 immediately and firefighters will be there within minutes #Corrie"

This is only fiction you know...so blame the producers..the script writers..but commonsense should tell you ..you can't blame the characters they are only acting and doing as they are told....it's not real..

Because that's not Leanne. Leanne is a strong, fiesty woman who prefers to fight her way in life as opposed to rely on other people.

When there was a major fire in my old flat, my next-door-neighbour discovered it and - thinking I was inside, hammered at the door and shouted through the letterbox before running back into his own flat to dial 999. Fortunately, I was out otherwise I would've been a goner due to smoke inhalation, or so the fire officer subsequently told me.

Shall we just close the forum then

Or is it just the producers fault when a character you like is criticised

Shouldn't you be praising the producers and not the fictional character

It was daft how she even spotted the fire in the first place. If I saw a tiny flicker like that (in a flat two or three floors up? As if!), I would just assume it was a telly on or something.

When there was a fire at my house my brother shut the door on the room (my bedroom, I was out)it was in to try and contain it, went to my mother's room at the other end of the landing to tell her to get out, rang the fire Brigade (pre mobile phones) and then got himself out, closing every door he could as he went.

He then immediately told the Neighbours (who should have been okay as the house is detached but better safe than sorry) who also got out and everybody waited for the fire Brigade at a safe distance.

Did she not think of warning the other residents or asking them for help
