I buy organic cold pressed virgin oil for both skin and consumption. However if you are going to fry with it, be aware that coconut oil has a low smoke point. Better to use refined coconut oil for that.
Some people use it on hair. However I tried it once and it was difficult to wash out properly and made my hair lank.

As I have mentioned before I am sticking to my Pro-Naturals argan oil as a leave in hair treatment rather than use coconut oil for my hair, but I have heard that some people are using coconut oil as a sunscreen. I've read loads on the web, there are many pros but more cons.
