If stupid twists like this are coming in all over the place then what is the point in any housemate even trying to play by the rules, play the game, work as a team etc?

The whole point is to go in the house and not get yourself nominated...

Now the producers just choose who is up so what's the point in any of it? If you know the producers are going to choose the "most entertaining" then they are all going to start playing up to the camera to stay in rather than have any REAL dynamics within the group - and if that's the case, why bother, we might as well go to a circus.

Come on people! Do we really want to watch the HM's trying not to be nominated? Sounds really dull to me.

No, the whole point is to go in the house and not get yourself evicted. Ultimately, you only have to ingratiate yourself with the voting public. Winning tasks might buy you an easier ride, and getting along with others certainly will, but they're not the be all and end all. How you react to a changing environment is how you're judged in there. Adversity can be your ally and all that.

The couple most nominated are usually the one the public would vote for anyway... So they follow...

And the way not to get evicted is generally to be decent, and if you are decent you don't get noms.

If the game was not to get evicted, you would go about it by doing your best not to get nommed. So in the case of the housemates who are up now, they should have earned another week. But now nobody knows how to behave, how not to behave, who to nominate or why they should nominate, or what they are nominating for...

Only the public get to choose who is evicted. As for not knowing how to behave, or how not to behave, since when did that depend on your circumstances? Act like a tool and you'll end up getting evicted. If you're a decent person and an entertaining HM you're in with a chance.

The way to win the show is to not try. Sam slept his way to victory a few years back.

Katie Price phoned in her CBB win this year. A more unengaged housemate you will never see.

But HMs who are decent often do get nominations, and ones who aren't decent may get few or none. Amy and Sally, for example, have not been decent and yet they received only one nomination this week, and one the week before.

That is until the producers decide to set up a quad eviction in week 2 and pretty much end your chances of staying, decent person or not.

You can only do your best, and even then you might not win. That's life.

Yes!

Perhaps the uncertainty created by twists and the threat of twists will get some HMs to do precisely that.

BB has evolved every year since it started. Old BB for me was series 1-4 & I'd be bored to tears watching that now. Reality TV has created a genre for those who want fame to try & seek it so how can we go backwards? Not saying I like those kind of people, however it is what it is.

I'm loving the twist because it gives everyone a chance to get rid of the HMs who try & fly under the radar. Yes the producs are pulling the strings, but that's to create a more watchable show (I hope). If this borefest continues I shall be switching off completely. Already not watching every highlights show & I normally view all the nightly episodes.

I couldn't agree more. Although there are a few HMs in there who, perhaps, don't really know who they are.

Except the whole process is tainted. When BB announced to the house that Jack, Harriet, and Danny were the favorites, they immediately became immune from nomination. Not one of them has received a nomination. They didn't earn another week, the only reason they were not nominated is because BB interfered in the first place with outside interference

Additionally the twins would have likely been up if BB hadn't played Nick and Jade conversation into the house.

Who are these HM's that have been trying to fly under the radar exactly ? Harriet hasn't exactly stayed quiet, neither have the Twins or Sarah. Danny and Keiron are there to have a laugh and Chloe is too, we just haven't seen much of her. They aren't trying to fly under the radar they just aren't a bunch of drama queens looking for constant air time.

Even that isn't true now. Marlon and Danielle were evicted without a public vote last year.

It depends on what you mean by 'trying'.

If you mean why should housemates bother 'trying' to not get nominated, then in some respects the twist would be a good thing.
I don't see what value there is to watch people trying to avoid being nominated.
