It's only a game show, the producers can do what they want.

It's to keep the show from being predictable.

Regardless of what the contracts say, I'm sure that it is highly frowned upon by the bodies in charge of regulating games and competitions (and possibly even illegal) for a game show to guarantee something to a contestant and then later renege on that. If they'd taken her pass away, Helen would have grounds to sue the pants off them.”

A game has to abide by the rules the players have signed up for, not by the rules viewers think should be there. Historically, BB housemates have clearly never been offered a contract that guarantees them a 'fair' game; innumerable housemates have been evicted after a twist, several of them with no nominations. There is no 'body' regulating games and competitions; there is a body regulating the use of paid-for telephone voting, where the terms of the vote have to be made clear before people pay their money. BB could not, for example, announce that the person with the most votes will be evicted, then evict a different person instead. But they could evict a different person as well.

Quite a few of us will be grinning when the twins are evicted,

For the last few years FM's have been complaining that the "Twists that will rock the house" were too lame. Now, when we actually get one that will do exactly that, they are wanting HM's to sue!

Sarah isn't a solicitor.

People who volunteer for BB and who sign a legally binding contract have only themselves to blame for the consequences. If they are sensitive souls who don't want to be "emotionally distressed" then they shouldn't have applied in the first place.

When are contestants ever categorically told that only housemates nominated by their other housemates are the ones that go up for eviction?

I have certainly never heard that stated in any of the BB's so why all the fuss about what they are doing now?!

Never.

They all know that BB makes the rules and can change them at any time.

maybe they should sue..they are being kicked out for no good reason and they didnt get nominated. did big brother do this whn theylooked at the list of those who werent nommed and decided to get rid...... id be furious if it was me who was a housemate who put hard work in to entertaining the masses only for big brother to throw me out like some used rag so they can freshen up the house. after aarons unfairly being removed this is disgraceful

emmm .. the Courts are not actually there to pursue the claims of those who feel angry and have had their feelings hurt Your comment about some of those HMs "entertaining the masses .. " is probably more actionable

BIB None of those up have been working hard to entertain 'the masses', as you call us. The only thing they have been working at is sucking up to each other to ensure they don't get nominated and playing it safe so they can fly under the radar.

Oh, I know all that, and your examples are all things that Big Brother could legitimately do. However, I don't think that they'd be allowed to categorically promise Helen a place in the final, and then not deliver on that. I think there could be consequences on them for doing that.

Aaron was not unfairly dismissed , he had been goading Joel all week.
