Decided to buy a whole duck today from the butchers for a change,

Could someone give me some ideas please?, have cooked duck legs/breasts etc but never a whole duck!

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

A couple of inches of oil in a deep skillet will work fine. I own a deep fat fryer but never use it. I think when I did this recipe I used a two quart pot normally reserved for spaghetti and pop corn.

Ok, second suggestion.
Take it to a pond and set it free.
