Since promoting showmances (e.g. of JJJ) , which was bordering on criminal fraud ( deceiving the public into thinking their paid votes had any influence on the outcome ) I just watch and most often find it more entertaining here than the actual episodes

If there's a negative to find then DS will find it. Every 'normal' human trait will be pounced on. Every cross word will be deemed victimisation. Nostalgia rules and 'fings ain't what they used to be' is our mantra, while we bemoan the fact that they are repeating tasks that have been done before.

The show changes like the weather & never for the better, but the one thing about BB that you can always rely on, is that you can come to this forum & read all about how the GBP are racist & jealous of all of the HMs, the latest twist is the END off BB, the show is scripted, apart from when its been rigged, the HMs are all actors, oh & my personal favourite.... The live feed is about to come back any minute now!!! ..... Really we could just change the HMs names & reprint the same theads each year. Its like a pair of comfy ole slippers...Really rank smelly ones!

Basically Endemol don't owe it to anyone to make Big Brother and Channel 5 are not obliged to broadcast it.

Big Brother is not a national service. It has in many ways outlived its natural life so it was always going to evolve.

Yes, forums often seem to contain people who have a kind of "nobody can fool ME, I know the TRUTH! and anyone who doesn't agree is deluded!" outlook.

I agree and I'm the same. I find it funny that there's a lot of people on here who can't understand why ratings have declined over the years. A lot of it is obviously down to the declining quality of the show, but one of the main things is that it's a dead format. It's been on the air for 16 years...that's a hell of a long time. Everything eventually comes to an end. People on here seem to struggle to accept it. It's not "cool" to watch BB. It's now cheap and tacky. I've accepted it for what it is. Of course there's certain things they could do to improve the show as a whole, but overall the show is at the end of it's life. It's been on air for 16 years so it's had a great life.

Yep. DS forums are the lazy person's Elstree studios. Full of idiots with extreme opinions they're not willing to explain, just attack with or defend by being insulting. They're a product of The Sun and all the other gutter rags, plus the ego-centric core of Twitter, etc.

It's the moaniest forum since the last Big Brother.

It's never any different.

This is the worst forum (and the DS site as a whole) for moaning about everything. Every new show is "dire", every soap episode is "awful", every existing show is "not at it's best", every character is "poorly drawn" and every actor/actress is "wooden". It's common all over the net but the negativity on DS in particular is at stratospheric levels. Just scan the comments on the main page articles. It's enough to make you weep. DS is practically YouTube when it comes to negativity.
