Probably, but that's why I love it.

It's people like Penny, why I used to love lurking on here. There's moaning, but a lot of humour too. It wouldn't be a forum without the naysayers or lovers of everything, I've never felt attacked by anyone, but I don't take things too seriously.
The DS Showbiz forum is worse.
The BB forum is like a big old pussycat compared to that place.
Sometimes I find this (BB) forum more entertaining that the programme itself.

This is exactly what I've found.
It doesn't seem as bad this year as it has been in years gone by. Then again there is no clear forum favourite at the moment. As soon as a favourite emerges it can get pretty nasty on here if you are not a fan.
In recent years I've found it hard to like any of the contestants therefore I don't really care what others post about them. As the housemates have become more generic we've become less invested.

Personally i live in a world where tv shows have been exposed in the past for being deceitful (Ant and Dec's take out) and in a world where the tabloids and politicians tell you half truths why wouldn't a tv show? Doesn't seem like that much of a stretch if you ask me..
On topic though i kind of like DS and disagree that it's the moaniest forum, with the likes of twitter/fb/youtube i think everyone in general is just far more opinionated than ever before, i think every forum in general is 'moany'.
