....about the fire?

What were they expected to do about it?

You can't expect people to risk their lives for Victoria Court flat's residents.

Surprised I'm the only one bothered about this. It is unrealistic.

I think it was a strategy used to get the people to be used on the shoot to the site of the fire. They couldn't have everybody just walking past. They whole set up was weird, when you think about it where were all the regulars?

I don't think it really needed that many characters in the scenes, though.

It was a strange mix of characters. Also too many missing faces from the wedding scene. It made it all look silly.

because they were going to tell Liz who works in the pub rather than just tell the people in the pub

Why not just phone Liz or take her in the back room?

The pub as a few yards away from where they were, they wanted to tell Liz in person, the shock of what was going on made them blurt it out in the pub?

Sounds reasonable enough to me.

It was dangerous. With so many wooden actors in the vicinity I'm amazed the whole street didn't go up.

Well some of the residents might have been in there and they'd be interested to know their home was in danger?

Plus, it's just breaking news gossip, sadly people do spread it.

I think that was probably the least unrealistic thing about it. Leanne not phoning the emergency services before she went in herself, not getting somebody else to if she didn't have her phone on her, nobody bothering to bang on doors or buzz the other residents to tell them to get out, Amy not going to a window to call for help (fair enough she was scared but she had enough sense to put the pillows at the door to stop the fumes), lkeanne letting the door close behind her rather than wedging it open both times she went in, Liz seeming to care more about getting one over on Tracy than her hrand daughter dying, the code not having changed in the 18 months since Leanne last lived there, Michelle having left her handbag at the Rovers so Tracy could steal the keys, Amy staying there in the first place etc, etc.

Somebody rushing into the local where most of the Streets residents (including maybe some from the flats on fire) were gathered for a party and shouting it out was probably the most logical thing that happened all week.

Me too, of course the neighbours would want to know what's going on.

Why tell Liz in particular? At that point no-one knew Amy was in the flat.
