"Please be advised that references to ‘Timebomb’ should be deleted from all future episodes."

Are they taking the piss.

where does it say that?

Journalist said it on Twitter, think it's sent out in email

I don't even know what that means. Anybody care to clarify?

Basically they've said that episodes from today should be referred to as "Big Brother" and not "Big Brother: Timebomb". Indicates they might be dropping the theme.

it's related to emergency language in the queens speech that address terrorism and extremist operatives.

i would quite literally despair if this is the case. surely they had a plan of action in hand for where and when they would be using the theme throughout the weeks accordingly?
or was it really just the usual making it up as they go along

im slightly dubious though as its been confirmed a housemate is returning on Friday, so that would fit with the timebomb theme surely? so they cant be getting rid already..

They could simply just have called it big brother Bombshell. Cos that is what Friday is gonna be. A Bombshell!!

Thanks for clearing that up. But what could it mean? Why are they dropping the theme name? What's that going to help?

I actually find this more worrying than the panic eviction twist. All the Timebomb logos, Timebomb trailers, all for nothing. Something big is going on behind the scenes. It could be make or break for BB, this year.

They should just go back to basics try to follow the channel 4 big brother, maybe they've realised the theme isn't working or they've changed their mind about it.

I think you could be right, they seem to be going full out here. No theme, fixing the show to remove HM's, new HM's going in. It's like they are starting over. For me, they have gone too far though, i don't think there is any way they can get me back into this series.

The theme isn't working? All the fuss these last couple of days suggests to me that it has worked great

This is said EVERY year but nothing ever happens except that they KEEP making the same mistakes again!

A housemate is returning? Only one guess if that's confirmed.

My guess is that there have been suggestions the use of the word "bomb" in the title is tasteless and offensive and potentially a hostage to fortune in the unfortunate but sadly quite likely event of a terrorist incident occurring somewhere in the world.

If to do with the title, why now, why is it only now an issue.

The theme itself and planned tasks, etc could be kept and renamed, anyway. Maybe less impactful but still relevant like Timeshift or something.

What??? rolleyes

which means they shouldn't use any word that could be associated with terrorism.
Bombshell, Bombed (this show looks like it has), Explosive etc

It was still being used at the end of a clip advertising tonight's highlights earlier.

I swear they've done this for the last two series, dropping the tagline after a couple of weeks.

What, so for some reason something has gone wrong with this theme thing and they've had to scrap it?
Can't they do what they had originally planned or something?

The thing is though, this year was turning out to be very like the basic earlier series', I was only thinking yesterday that it was nice to have episodes where you got an inkling of their personalities and they weren't all screaming obscenities at each other for the whole show.

Now I guess it's too dull for Channel 5 so they've got to fiddle

Stop the conspiracies! They do it every year they drop the theme name from the show, I don't know why but they just do!

But the theme this year hasn't even been used yet.
They had the first task with Jack as the winner, and then this future food task, and that's about it.

If they do this every year, then isn't it like saying that they don't do a very good job of it every year?
