Performed the song "Canzone per te"
video of the performance on radio 2.
Started of with lots of joking around and mickey taking.
Presenter introduces them saying they just completed 3 concerts in Rome, all sold out.
(Presenter) talks about Sanremo, saying lots of critics but also a lot of success.
(Il Volo) talk about being pleased with Sanremo because thanks to Sanremo the situation in Italy changed positively with the presenter adding because you were well known abroad but not really followed in Italy...
(Il Volo) in reality we weren't followed because the Italians still had to discover this genre/type of music and for us Sanremo was a big window. Now, the concerts we did in Rome, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were all sold out and you saw kids, teenagers, parents and grandparents, 4 generations.
(Presenter) Some of the press critics have finally made peace with you, they have understood that in your genre, you are number one, absolutely...
(Il Volo) maybe the reason they critique is because we are unique, Bocelli for example is a little more classical, maybe we are the first young group who sing this genre which is neither classical or pop “and it's not even music” (laughter)...
(Presenter) I was emotional when they sang at Sanremo, I understood that one could say I listen to Led Zeppelin, AC DC...
(Il Volo) there are those that cry because of emotion and those that cry because they can't stand it. (laughter)...
(Presenter) I'll tell you the truth, I got emotional when I saw you singing and wining at Sanremo, because 3 voices like this together is very rare.
(Il Volo) you know, this probably answers the question that this genre/type of music still exists and will still exist for many years to come as evidenced by the 3 sold out concerts in Rome as well as during our performance at the Arena Of Verona during the music awards where everyone sang from kids to the elderly...
(Presenter) I was at the Arena Of Verona music awards, there was a tremendous reception from the public when you made your entrance and it was a young public showing that you are also followed by the young...
(Il Volo) we always say that the genre/type of music we do isn't old, it's old when thinking about it but modern when sang in our stile.
(Presenter) It's true, however, something I can't stand about you is the success you have with the women (laughter) But we'll talk about that another time because when they pass by the place becomes a desert (laughter).
The presenter goes on to say they are actively engaged up until June of next year (2016), I know the Italian tour finishes in September (I think) so not sure what engagements they have after that, they/presenter didn't say.
Then the presenter talks to Amara, an Italian artist who was also at the Teatro Ariston
Ariston theatre were the Sanremo was held...
(Presenter) you were 14 year old when you first appeared on television...
(Il Volo) at the Ariston theatre...
(Presenter) how do you keep a sense of measure, your feet on the ground?
(Il Volo) with a tape measure (laughter)... then Gianluca says, I would like the listener to know that that was Ignazio, not Piero or Gianluca (laughter)... we manage to keep our feet on the ground because around us we have a great team, a great manager (Michele Torpedine) and above all our families, but the most important thing is to love what you do. Yes, we tour the world but we always thank god for giving us these voices... we always sing with a smile... we tackle difficult moments with a smile because together we are very close... we have a great rapport because apart from being 3 colleagues we are 3 very good friends, we are 3 brothers and in 6 years that rapport has solidified.
(Presenter) Which one of you is the one who creates more problems? Who is always late?
(Il Volo) “Gianluca” “Gianluca”... there are days when he's 20 minutes early but there are days when he's an hour late...
(Presenter) the other 2 are punctual?
(Ignazio) no, worst case scenario I may be 15 minutes late...
(Presenter) in general what keeps you going, breakfast?
(Ignazio) no, no, eyes closed (sleep)...
