Have not been here for a long while but just had to pop in and say how much I like the new album, particularly 'L'amore si muove'......the only two I fast forward are 'Eternally' and 'Volare'....
It's difficult to select the best song because there are a good few but if I have to pick one that I really enjoy it's "La Vita" for me

It is a very good album, I actually quite like "Eternally" but can see where you're coming from with "Volare" because it's a different type of song that maybe appeals more to a certain generation, I don't fast forward it but would pick most of the others above it.

I went through a binge last night of listening to other "popera" acts and singers on Spotify but none have the vigour and voices to match Il Volo for me. They just have the perfect balance.

They appear to be very likeable down to earth which of course helps them to connect with their fans, individually they are all very good singers, they all have something special in their voices, although they are 3 very different voices somehow they work really well together. They perform with passion and emotion, their music arrangements are very good. Their performances regardless of songs, because of the musical arrangements, emotion, passion not to mention their voices moves people, their performances are very uplifting. ![]() I found the ARENA DI VERONA concert in full and HD, 2 hours worth

Gianluca and Ignazio singing "All of me", Gianluca does most of the singing while Ignazio plays the piano

Natalia Jiménez singing her song "Creo" with Il Volo at the recent Latin Grammy awards 2015, it was considered by many to be the best performance of he night. I don't know anything about Natalia Jiménez, never heard of her but she can sing!

just weeks to go until I see them live. Something special about them that I can't put my finger on They have a book out and it seems that ignazio got in a bit of trouble in the USA when his drink was spiked. |

Something special about them that I can't put my finger on They have a book out and it seems that ignazio got in a bit of trouble in the USA when his drink was spiked. The more I think about it... Although they have 3 excellent voices they are not alone, I think what makes them unique is that they are 3 very different voices, they are very good at selecting whose voice best fits which part of whatever song they are singing which seems to lift their songs/performances to another level. Yet although they have 3 very different voices they still somehow come together in harmony, when you then add the passion they have for their singing, the emotion they convey coupled with their likability, it's hard not to be impressed by them. They are genuinely nice guys with a passion for what they do which they do exceptionally well! What's not to like...

Nice video!
Been watching their live Facebook mentions and love their quirkiness and respect for their fans. Anyone going to their London concert? |

Oh bless her! She's Italian so she can at least read it lol. Come on Sony ...we want it in English
I will buy the book whilst I'm in Italy though For Christmas I received the special edition buon Natale album; so I now have two versions of the same album :s Totally ridiculous. Purchased the live in pompeii album so at least I will have a hard copy of delilah, as I refuse to purchase the 3rd copy of the album . On a brighter note it's 19 days until I see them in Rome XD |

FINALLY!!!! I'm so glad I found this thread.
![]() ![]() So let me just introduce myself. My name is Shelley, I'm 29 (almost 30) years old, and I'm from New York in the U.S. Anyway...I'd just been getting into Il Volo and their music for almost a couple weeks. And they sound so incredible for a group in their early '20s. Personally, out of all the "classical crossover" artists that are out there (i.e. Il Divo, Jackie Evancho, Katherine Jenkins, etc.), there are only a couple of them whose music I can get into and Il Volo happens to be one of them. Honestly, they had me at "Grande Amore" from Eurovision...what an amazing song that was! Beautiful lyrics, incredible voices, and not to mention a total master class performance. After...maybe the first 50 times of listening to that song...LOL...that was when I decided to listen to some more of their songs. I'll be quite frank with you...with each song that I'd listened to...it makes me appreciate all the colorful qualities in their vocals. Each of them sound great in many different ways...I actually happen to have a soft spot for Piero...his voice is just so divine...hard to believe that he can sing like that at 22. So far, I have a few favorites that I'd heard..."L'immensita" (the intensity is just...WOW! ), "Caruso" (so beautiful and powerful), "Volare" (so nice to hear them have fun with this one), "Notte Stellata" (very subtle yet incredible at the same time), "Ciao, Ciao Bambina" (another fun song), and of course "Grande Amore" (especially the Spanish version...*THUD*). Anyway...just wanted to share a couple videos I'd discovered recently. One is the USA national anthem...unbelievable that they're able to sing this...not to mention it's so cute to hear their accents come out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qb2rKJGO-24 And here is a short video that I made of when they were singing the three Christmas songs a cappella...absolutely beautiful! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgVCUI26-kU Looking forward to hearing more of their music and learning a lot. So about a half hour ago, I went on Amazon.com and whatever...then I saw that I still had a big balance on my gift cards that I got from this past holiday season. I got so excited that I filled up my cart with almost all of Il Volo's albums and ordered them, especially their Sanremo EP. Can't wait to get them this week and listen to them!!

![]() ![]() ![]() I don't know how much of their stuff you've seen as you mentioned you've been getting into them from a couple of weeks or so, there is a ton of youtube material on them which will keep you busy for a long time ![]() They are exceptional singers but I think it's the passion and emotion they put into their work that makes them special and of course they seem like such good fun on and off stage

It's all good!
There's an English Il volo group on Facebook who translate their material (even from their latest concert) for us fans. TheI'm last video is from the concert in roma where the singer was wearing something revealing on stage and the guys joked about it. Can't wait to see them again! |
