Agree with you totally on this. The Kanneh Mason were just brilliant and it was really embarrasing to see them down in 5th place when they were clearly the best act on the evening.

True but it's basically a light entertainment show and the public vote for who entertained them enough to want to see more and that isn't necessarily the most talented act

As I said earlier they won't get the audience voting and then choose one themselves as there will be complaints.

I think the judges will choose Jonathan

If they have any sense they will put The Kanneh Masons through.

This. But I don't think they will.

All you people talking about the wildcard and pulling out names that were not third place - the wild card must be someone who finished in third in their semi final,
when asked if his Golden Buzzer act Lorraine Bowen was one of the Wildcards, David replied, “Sadly it has be someone who came third. I think that is fair. #BGTWildcard”

You could make an argument that for whichever semi final runner up gets the public wildcard the judges should then open themselves up to putting through whoever came 4th in that semi final, if that act was better than the 3rd placed acts in all of the other semi finals. That said, it is likely to be a choice between the four acts not saved by the public in the public wild card vote.

Which sucks, because all the third-place acts are pretty lame. It isn't 'fair'. The judges should decide who they want and the public should choose between the top three acts because we chose those acts to be in the top three in the first place!

That's so stupid and unfair on the audience wildcard. Just a excuse for them to pick the 3rd placed semi finalist who they wanted through as opposed to viewers.

Agree, but I think Jonathan

Yes they said it had to be from the top three but that was audience vote.

If that is the case then they will have to reveal who the public choice was first and I would guess they would have to reveal how they were going to choose before they open the phone lines.

No they wouldn't, they simply had to wait until 11pm on Friday when they knew who the public had chosen as their wildcard before choosing their own. I suspect they would have done that anyway because otherwise there would have been a chance that they would have picked the same act as their wildcard that the public chose.
