Yes, absolutely he deserved to be removed. Although for the life of me I can't understand why BB didn't step in as soon Aaron started repeatedly flashing.

Good God yes of course he did. If this was a man swinging his penis towards a woman this question wouldn't even be being asked. Its clear Joel was uncomfortable and perhaps a little bit frightened. Aaron 100% deserved to be removed.

Can't quite believe people are defending Aaron's actions. BB was quite right to remove him.

If a man had done that to a woman, there would be uproar.

Why should I calm down? Aaron cannot control himself when he's drunk. We've seen that. It could have indeed gone HORRIBLY WRONG!
Horribly wrong! As in what? How horrible could it have got.

He should have just got a warning. Joel was laughing the whole time. Aaron running up behind Joel naked and hugging him was the only time he overstepped the mark, and he should have got a warning for it. Joel complaining about this in the diary room is what got Aaron removed. He would have been fine if Joel didn't do that. This is what happens when people go running to complain to Ofcom too often. Everyone gets oversensitive about everything and Big Brother acts on little things that wouldn't have mattered before, to protect themselves. The Charlie and Emily incident is another example and the show hasn't been the same since. But yeah, it's the viewers post 2007 (many of them from this forum) who went complaining to Ofcom pretending to be offended by every little thing that has ruined this programme.
Spot on

Aaron could have touched Joel inappropriately and could have had the old bill carting him off instead.

The outcome entirely depended on what Joel said in the DR. If he had taken the high road (like how Katie Hopkins did in CBB with the Perez situation) then Aaron would have just got a warning. Joel was putting it on in the DR and that is evident in how he acted when he found out Aaron had been ejected.

If you put together the 2nd option and 3rd option it would be very close.

As usual I think people generally are far too focussed on the protagonists - blaming Aaron or (much worse) the victim Joel - and missing the real point.

BB could and should have stepped in earlier and given Aaron a very stern warning.
BB should have called Aaron to the DR the first time Joel said NO.

How many times did Joel have to say no before people think Aaron crossed a line? For me it's one time. We are talking about a sexually inexperienced teenager having to deal with a mid 20's gay man whose boasted the number 200. Joel has always been uncomfortable with Aaron's sexual advances. He liked talking with Aaron but always made it clear he was not interested in anything more and that it made him uncomfortable. Good call removing him but as with Hazel and Daley BB should have intervened way sooner than they did. Just wrong allowing things like that to go on and on.

Seriously some people have no sense of humour. .. if joel had properly told him to f off different story but he didnt. If the other hms told him to reign it in he may have done so, but everyone in that room was laughing.
Aaron is responsible for his own behaviour, he got removed and needs to take the consequences on the chin. Joel told him several times to stop and that should be enough. Other HMs played a part for egging Aaron on but are not responsible for the way Aaron chooses to behave.

We all find different things funny.

IMO the last part of his antics was his fall + his attitude in the DR when BB called him in

He was sorry to the audience, BB and *then* Joel. The audience was literally more important to him than the man he had just made to feel very uncomfortable and apparently had feelings for.

You can't keep someone like that in the house, it would just be another Anthony and Craig situation. TBH glad BB takes the issue of male on male harassment a bit more serious than they did then.

I actually think Joel probably regrets how he reacted in the Diary Room as well tbh .

I think a formal warning would have been enough.

If you agree that it could have gotten worse, which you do, then hopefully you agree that prevention is better than cure and Big Brother shouldn't have waited for Aaron to fondle Joel before booting him out.

The rest of the housemates certainly found it funny and I think that's why Aaron kept it going. Also despite his 'distress' in the diary room Joel was laughing and did seem to be ok with it at the time.
I think the rest of the hms finding it funny is why Joel was laughing to cover his distress. He didn't want to look like a killjoy in front of everyone else, which would have added to his feeling of isolation in it all.

The key thing is that Aaron knew he was causing Joel distress but still carried on doing it. BB can't let something like that go on, especially when it's something Joel technically could report to the police.

The situation between the two of them was only going to get worse over time. As Joel said, he probably would have ended up punching Aaron, which would have led to his removal. One or the other would have gone sooner or later.

Bb should have stepped in. But Joel was in no danger at all. It was clearly a joke with 13 witnesses.
Only reason Aaron got booted is cos Joel overreacted in the diary room.

Absolutely YES.

If he wants to get naked and flash his ding-a-ling that's up to him !

However to keep approaching someone who wasn't wanting to 'play' then he was clearly breaking serious rules, mounting to sexual harassment.

Silly boy, shame he went too far.

How anyone cannot see that Joel clearly wasn't finding it amusing or egging it on is beyond me. He was pacing around, clearly unsure what to do, trying to fill his time by looking for deodorant he didn't need and constantly telling Aaron to get back in his bed.

The infantile logic behind some anti-Joel posts is disheartening.

I agree - after Joel refused to kiss him we saw them in the bath. Aaron's face said it all - he didn't appreciate being snubbed. He was directing the conversation and making Joel uncomfortable 'Do you have any gay friends?' 'am I your first gay friend?'

He was trying to make Joel appear homophobic and that display in the bedroom was clearly an attempt to bully/punish/antagonise. It really wasn't just 'a bit of fun'.

I agree. There were loads of "giveaways" showing Joel was uncomfortable. As you say, the deodorant thing was blatantly one of them.

Still it'll run and run because, like most things in BB, it comes down to fan groups and popularity. Most people who don't like Joel will treat it lightly and say he overreacted, etc. Or at worse accuse him of homophobia.

If he was a straight man doing that to a woman he would have been removed. What Aaron did bordered on a criminal act. Poor Joel said No and that should have been enough.
