That's weird. Given that it has been commissioned until 2018, why are they offering odds on something that has apparently been debunked by producers? Do they know something we don't?

I wouldn't be surprised if agreements to go until 2018 contain certain ratings targets that need to be hit. This would explain why BB production team are acting so desperately trying to undo what has been a disastrous season so far.

It doesn't say it's the last one.

We seen that line spun before

Endemol has held crisis meetings with Channel 5,,,,,heads will roll because of poor ratings,,,,Endemol promising a turnaround,,,,Channel 5 give ultimatum,,,,

Anyone who remember those echoes from the Channel 4 era - turned out to be rubbish....

They can't do that. After what happened last year, it is impossible to get ratings up that quickly, no matter how good the series is. The ratings have been awful, but so far this series has been pretty good quality, I feel. The only way to get the ratings back up is to consistently make it good over the next few years.

I hope they still keep the celebrity version.

Offering odds of 7 to 4 that the show will be cancelled next year, despite it having been renewed until 2018?!

What are the odds that the show won't be cancelled? I'd prefer to bet on that.

It would be safe to assume that BB & CBB contracts both have performance related clauses within the contract.
So it is very possible that if set viewing targets (which equates to ad revenue) aren't reached then the show could go.
I'm not saying that it is going to get evicted but it's possible.
