Olly Murs was crap

He wouldn't get passed auditions

Yeah that song doesn't suit him at all...

In fact, how has he sold 13 million records, as they say? He's had about 3 good songs ('Dance With You Tonight' 'Heart Skips A Beat' and 'Dear Darling' if that's what they're called) but no other song from him has impressed me!

I have never seen the appeal, his music is dreadful.

I really like Olly Murs. I think he's great. But his song last night wasn't up to his usual standards in my opinion and he sounded incredibly nervous.

He is not the best of singers to have come from the X Factor.

I thought it was so awful, I attempted to fast forward through the live TV broadcast. The song was tuneless and unoriginal and the backing singers tackled all the high notes; all Olly did was bark out a few words and do some high kicks. What an embarrassment.

I've also liked a few Olly singles from over the years but the singles from his latest album have been dreadful except Up which I thought was a decent pop song - and that's coming from someone who doesn't even rate Demi Lovato as a singer.

He is not my type of artist, but he has sold over 10m albums somehow. I think it might be because he is nice rather than for his voice.

He was the opening act for Robbie Williams a couple of years ago, and I was genuinely surprised by how great he was. He really puts on a great show. Shite last night though.

His singing voice isn't terrible. I think he appeals to a wide variety of people; his songs resemble more those of the traditional songs of the 70s or 80s as opposed to modern pop which appeal to those who prefer music from the past, plus female teenagers probably fancy him and he has the dancing which makes him entertaining for all.

Fair enough as you have seen him live.

i like him ...but vocally he can be a little but hit and miss... the song last night was poor which didn't help.

Looking at his chart placings/discography it looks like the slipping has started. No number one from this album.

Cowell is probably planning his greatest hits

I think when he's in the recording studio they must auto-tune him.

He sounds really different on the radio. I actually thought he had a much stronger voice until I heard him on BGT.

I LOVE him but the song is terribly boring on record, let alone live, and really shouldn't be a single

Honestly never understood the appeal of Olly Murs as a singer. Maybe as presenter, or TV personality he is good, but as a singer he's very average. Nonetheless Cowell will continue to get him all the big gigs, as he does what he's told.

Can't stand him. When he auditioned for XF murdering a Stevie song and doing a drunk dad at a wedding impression of a Jay Kay dance, I thought he was one of the joke ones and expected Simon to day 'what the bloody hell was that'. When the panel liked him, my jaw hit the floor.
He is just a mockney karaoke wideboy who got very, very lucky

Kind of like how you wouldn't get PAST the first round of a spelling competition.

But agree, it wasn't that good, I think he's more suited to presenting than singing.

Olly Murs is wanted on charges of being an oxygen thief! True story!
