Joel is a cold calculating HM who always has an eye on the main chance and Aaron friend or not was standing between him and the £150,000. Now there's one less and victim status might help him win

Jesus christ!

Joel didn't make Aaron pursue him relentlessly

Joel didn't make BB deem Aaron's behaviour unacceptable

Joel didn't make BB decide to eject him from the house

I'm not even a fan of Joel but this is getting really silly now.

I don't think thoughts like that go through your mind when a man is flashing his penis at you!

"I think"

Judging from your illogical conclusion, you still have more to do.

What Joel said in the DR wasn't while Aaron was flashing him.

But it wasn't long afterwards. Aaron was called to the DR and when he returned, Joel can be seen going to the DR.

Often Joel annoys me because he talks like a Tory MP & I would like him to be a bit more of a 19-year-old. Nevertheless Joel spoke eloquently in the diary room & I can totally understand his discomfort.

Have a little more thinking time OP because while a few may agree with you, the majority are likely to see sense.

I don't think Joel was genuinely upset at all , behind the charm Joel is one of the most ruthless HMS in there . Later when he saw Aaron was in real trouble with Big Brother , he decided to play up his victim status for his own advantage

In all truth I cannot abide Joel, but I don't think he was being fake. He's just intensely critical of everyone and everything - his objection would have been as forceful if it had been about Aaron taking his last squeeze of toothpaste.
He's a complete tool but it was natural, not tactical.

That's not quite right.

Aaron was in the DR for quite a while. Since we don't know for how long, we already don't know how long after the incident it was when he came out and apologised. We then see Joel at the far end of the bedroom in his dressing gown. Then there's a scene change where we just see one of the BB cameras; Marcus says "Joel is in the Diary Room"; and we then see Joel in the DR but not wearing his dressing gown. So it is not clear how much time had passed then either.

In any case, the point remains: when Joel was in the DR, he was not trying to think with Aaron flashing at him.

I'm not saying Joel did want to get Aaron thrown out, and of course it was BB's decision, not Joel's. But it is possible that Joel knew or suspected that what he said in the DR could affect BB's decision and that he said what he did because he thought it would at least make it more likely that Aaron would be removed, rather than because it's how he actually felt.

In the end, there isn't any proof either way, and we're not mind readers; so we have to try to figure things out as best we can, based on the limited information available. Different people can legitimately reach different conclusions.

How do we know Aaron was in there a long time? It's not as if Aaron was arguing with BB about events. How could Joel be in the DR AND be flashed at by Aaron in the bedroom at the same time? It was the chasing after Joel rather than the flashing that finally did it. BB called Aaron right afterwards.

Kieron has already pointed out that Joel laughed and took great enjoyment out of Adjoa's distress and fear at being evict and he is so sure that Jade is going to be evicted, that has been trying to twist the knife there to . I don't think he even thought of complainig until Aaron came back from the DR and said " Shut up guys i'm in real trouble "

You could be right jj. To me 19 is a child and I find it very difficult to dislike children but that boy is just poisonous.

Well you only had to watch Joel in the diary room on BBBOTS tonight ..

He acted like he was upset Aaron left, but his first concern was "They'll think I'm to blame" ... That's what he was actually upset about

Yeah, I think you're seeing little signs that he might be what you'd call a 'sociopath' .. Anyone who's a Tory at THAT age has something wrong with them

That's certainly embellishing what Kieran said in his nominations and putting words in Joel's mouth aswell.

Though Joel depicted as some sort of devious manipulator sounds like a pretty good story that would be worth a read.

I didn't say a long time or that we knew it was a long time; but it wouldn't have been an instant in and out, and we don't know how long he was in there.(*) We also don't know how long it was between our seeing Joel at the far end of the bedroom in his dressing gown (after Aaron had some out and apologised) and our seeing Joel in the DR without his dressing gown. Some people (who seem to be on Joel's side) even think Joel may have gone to bed and then been called to the DR.

(*) It was at least long enough that one of the HMs was worried because he hadn't yet returned.

Quote:

Look back at what led to my post. Someone said "I don't think thoughts like that go through your mind when a man is flashing his penis at you!". I pointed out that "What Joel said in the DR wasn't while Aaron was flashing him." You then said "But it wasn't long afterwards. ..." So I explained why we don't know how long after it was.

Kicking people when they are down seems to be what Joel does in the BB house to entertain himself . He lacks empathy for anyone except himself . Aaron on the other hand couldn't drop the subject quick enough when Joel had to admit he was a virgin , Joel was his friend he let it drop , If the shoe had been on the other foot Joel would have been twisting the knife for sure

And any young man or woman that shows a real interest in politics ought to be encouraged. Even though I don't like the Tories.

jj I'm in complete agreement. Some of the things that boy has said, like the hoping Jade would scald herself comment, are not only hateful but seem unrestrained by basic human understanding of what is, and most certainly is not acceptable and are just not normal

It showed that he had a very specific revenge fantasy going round in his head about her , Just because she dared to confront him about saying things behind her back . He couldn't handle someone standing up to him

Yes there's a viciousness in him, but what troubles me more is that I feel he lacks something - something I can't quite name yet, or maybe I don't want to.
