I used to be an avid fan of the show but Big Brother isn't the rounded programme it used to be. BY can't help but constant interfere, trying to whip up conflict instead of letting it unfold more naturally. Where are the laughs, where is BB wonderful sense of humour? These days I don't care too much if I miss a show, don't record it if theres something better on and don't bother to catch up. Even this forum isn't the same, the passion seems to have gone! BIG brother stopped listening to us and it's killing my once favourite show. Anyone else feeling like this?

I try not to take it too seriously.

I've been sucked into this years show and I hate myself for it. As I haven't really given a crap in years... and at the minute I wish I had never started watching.

Me too, by my daughter in law, who I love to bits... but she got me watching 'civilian' BB again
It's rubbish, but I'm going to tune in for now.

I've lost that must see need that I used to have. I still love the concept but it's so far removed from it's early beginnings and I very much miss the psychological element that used to be key. I still believe it's appeal is very broad but it feels like Endemol has lost it's faith in the housemates IT chooses. They try to be too clever in selecting what they believe will court conflict and have ended up with people who know what to say to be selected instead of people who genuinely want the experience. Which has resulted in a mish mash of wannabe contestants.

Although I can see perfectly what the OP says, I agree with you, and am not taking it seriously enough for it to bother me. I am recording it and BOTs and finding more interest in what the FMs are posting.

I don't get as involved as I used to because of the level of Big Brother manipulation and dishonesty.

I'm exactly the same, I dip in and out, out more out to be honest!

Gone are the days I wouldn't miss it and even if I went away on holiday or had to go out for an evening I would get a friend to txt me on eviction night!!

I just don't have the passion I used to have anymore, mainly due to the editing and production manipulations and the general casting!
If there is something better on the other side I will switch over, I do like the forum though and catch up here.
At least here there are differing opinions and not C5 pushed storyline

Yes, OP, I still watch but I'm watching differently for the first time since BB started all those moons ago!

It is no longer BB anyway - just manufactured, manipulated, repetitive crap like TOWIE.

I finally realised that I was addicted to being addicted to BB - and boy, it feels great to now be cured

I'm not bothered if I miss an episode and never record anything.
I kinda watch in passing and have no vested interest in any particular HM, tasks, stupid twists or 'storylines' < ◔◔ >

My blood temperature and pressure now stays at a normal, healthy level
