Sharon knows his name is Gavin. She knows he was in the football team photo. She knows he was possibly a friend of Den's. So why is she mucking about with this Gordon bloke. Its all very confusing.

No he is not her Father.

The articles have said that he is her biological father and Stephen Marcus tweeted that he hopes his character, Gordon will stay on the show for a while. Why would he say that if he's not Sharon's father?

Because maybe this is just how they have chosen to introduce the character.

I don't think so, I think this is just a red herring

So do I.

I'm going to say no.

Sharon to Abi : "My dad's name is Gavin".

Phil to Kathy : "Does Gavin suspect anything".

It's not rocket science that this Gordon character is a red herring until the real Gavin shows up.

Rather than saying he is her biological father, this one asks if he is. Why she would even think someone called Gordon is her biological father is anyone's guess!

I'm sure all woll be revealed

I think it's a red herring. Gordon could be Sharon's uncle. Gavin's brother? Sharon has mentioned that her dad is called Gavin.

No he isn't.

I think its definitely a red herring.

Gavin who is Kathy's Husband is certain to be her Father.

Exactly my point. You think she would go on the information she has. Not to mention Stephen Marcus is 52 and a Letitia Dean is 47. So he would be playing way out of is playing age.

I was thinking along these lines. Maybe Sharon gets an address and she turns up at Gavin's house to find his brother there and she thinks he's her Dad ?

Lets just face it many of DTC's storylines don't make bloody sense so I guess anything is possible. It doesn't make any sense that in the letters his name was Gavin.

I'l be very surprised if Kathys husband isn't Sharons biological father.

It's quite funny that the question "Is that the real Gavin?" could apply to both EastEnders and Coronation Street.

Gordon seems like the type EastEnders need at the moment hopefully he's not Sharon's father though.

I wonder if Sharon knows he's not her dad but plays along to bide her time with Phil.

Gordon is someone Ritchie dredged up in a hurry - Phil phoned her and said 'II need to buy some time.' He needed Sharon distracted from the loss of the Albert, and miraculously finding her dad does just that. Phil gets a breathing space to get Vincent out of the Albert, and Sharon gets a reunion with her 'father'. Ritchie has probably paid Gordon to say whatever Sharon needs to hear.

Phil is clearly protecting Kathy by not exposing Gavin as Sharon's dad.

Sharon isnt 47 tho? actor's and actresses do play older/younger than their ages

Gonna go out on a limb and say no it's not her father, I would say Phil/Ritchie are paying him to pretend to be

I'll eat a brick if he is Sharon's dad. That's how certain I am that he is not and this is all a ruse by Phil.

Fair assessment. I knew Gordon couldn't be Sharon's dad, but I didn't understand why he was in the mix. It makes sense now.

I think he seems like a good character too. He doesn't need to be Sharon's father to join the show and I hope he isn't Sharon's father.
