Channel 5 are considering reducing the current length of this series, more info as we get it #bbuk #bbtimebomb

For those wondering, we've had this information off Ben Frow at C5 #bbuk

BB was nearly pulled early last year and with the ratings much lower this year many of us are not shocked

Is this definitely the last BB or do you reckon another channel might buy it or something?

I wonder if BoyleSports had a tip off about this yesterday which prompted them to open a book on BB being cancelled in 2016?

I'm contused as to what will happen as Channel 5 have signed a deal which includes two celebrity seasons and one civilian series for the next three years. Maybe they will have huge re launch next year? The celebrity series seems to be fine. Power trip really did harm the series

If it does get cancelled which is on the cards now I can't see any other channel picking it up.

They'll probably run CBB and just ditch BB as cheap MTV programming can probably bring in a similar rating in the slot BB is currently taking.

I think it will stay on Channel 5. All the other output has rubbish ratings anyway so BB fits in well!

BB production costs versus a cheap MTV show may suggest otherwise.
Viacom won't throw good money after bad.

Confirmed, the ratings HAVE to improve by next Friday or it WILL be an early finish

It has been confirmed that if ratings don't rise within the next week, bosses are planning on cutting the current series short #BBUK

And this is no rumour it is information given by the bosses of Channel 5 #BBUK

It's much more than a couple of thousand. A couple of thousand would seldom even make a difference in the numbers we see which are usually to the nearest 100,000.

"Confirmed" according to what source?

It is a rumour at least until it's shown to be from a reliable source.

The 9pm slot would mean it goes up against Love Island which launches next week.
That would become an issue as both shows would be going after the same reality audience.

Pathetic..How about they give us what we want instead of threatening viewers about improving ratings

so they blame us for their stupidity.

Unless this information is confirmed (the other thread say there's two weeks left) I'm not believing it.

I mean - - WTH are they doing this dumb twist if there is only two weeks left?
