This series has been an utter farce. I wouldn't be surprised if C5 packed in the civilian version of BB and just carried on with the celeb version in future.

It has been confirmed that if ratings don't rise within the next week, bosses are planning on cutting the current series short #BBUK

And this is no rumour it is information given by the bosses of Channel 5 #BBUK”

Confirmed by who? Let's see the e-mail

They've ruined it. It should have been normal - interesting people - not these weirdos.

A return to basics might save the show instead of this contrived crap.

Unless this information is confirmed (the other thread say there's two weeks left) I'm not believing it.

I mean - - WTH are they doing this dumb twist if there is only two weeks left?”

I mentioned this in the other thread,I suspect this decision was made this morning when the overnights came in,if the show that contained a HM removal only brought in 100K more viewers then that's unacceptable for C5 as the ratings will continue to slide over the rest of this run.

It's not the show that should be booted, it's the entire BB team that need to go. They ran out of ideas years ago. Some of the best ideas on how to improve things and for twist ideas, are on fan forums.

Agreed, idiotic decision right there. LF was one of the main draws to the show!

On my Sky+ app and my mums Virgin TV Anywhere app the episode count has been reduced from 72 to 32 which if true and correct means a finalé date of 12 June 2015.

No it wouldn't. In fact this series has been the most 'normal' of any C5 BB after the criticism last year and look what's happend. It's clear from CBB what draws an audience outside of the core audience is fights, controversy and drama. Tv audience has evolved from the earlier days of BB the show needs LF to cater to the core audience and big characters to cater to the fickle audience.

I think you're making it all up. Why is anybody taking this as fact?

I see those things a bit differently.

Over the years, many hard core fans have been wanting big characters and even for the voting system to be changed to help keep them in. Indeed, that always seemed to be the dominant view here, while the general audience was blamed for voting the BCs out.

Big characters, conflict, and drama, drama, drama was giving the core what they seemed to want.

Also, the core audience is pretty much by definition still watching, so they can't care all that much about the live feed. The LF might bring back some people who've given up on he show, but how many?

Same way everyone got excited yesterday when an unconfirmed source suggested that the Live Feed was returning.

I'm sure lots of people will not watch this year because of that. I know a few people who have switched off this year.

I am not surprised. The current lot have just about killed off Big Brother. It's been a very boring series.
