She came third without crying.

Also, just to be clear, some people cry easily and some people don't cry at all. I don't think a 9 year old should be judged for getting emotional after coming third. She just missed out - sometimes that hurts more than coming dead last!

I beg to differ. It shows she cannot cope with the competition.

If you don't like her act fine, but don't undermine those of us who did. I did not vote for her because she cried a little, I voted for her because she is likable, talented at what she does, and the act is unique.

How come adults on X Factor older than Jesse cry maybe they can't cope with not getting through to the next live show or through to the live shows at the judges houses.

I suspect because they're trying to get the sympathy.

Maybe adults on X Factor can't handle the pressure at the judges houses and live results since some of them cry maybe they should set an example to kids on BGT. Connie Talbot handled the pressure well.

Shock horror she is already a child martial arts movie star having just made a movie with Cynthia Rothrock ,prior to appearing on BGT ,so go figure .

...and Old Men Grooving appeared in a TV commercial for Sainsbury's last Christmas.

What's the difference?

yes the but is she is established ,possibly to be a child movie star ,so whats the point of her appearing BGT ,acting out as if no one knows who she is !

Her act was very good, but tbh i can never see a child winning this show regardless of how well they perform. Shame really.

I can't believe how harsh some people on here are, shes a child fgs - to go through that on stage by yourself is hard enough even for an adult,,,and I bet she has probably already achieved a lot more in her life than most of the people on here doing the judging , shes junior world champion and has already won 117 titles across many different martial arts... I bet in years to come she will be world famous, olympic medals, movies etc.. while everyone else in the entire BGT series will be long forgotten...even Simon Cowell will be history when Jesse is at the height of her career.

Agree with you on this.

No. If she cried in the middle of her performance or if she'd had a hissy fit then you might have an argument. As it happened, she got through her act and almost held it together until Ant and Dec set her off crying by comforting her. I'm sure other people on this forum will relate to what I'm saying - sometimes when you're on the verge and someone says something nice to you it tips you over the edge. I'm sure nothing makes you cry though... hard as nails with the empathy to match it.

If she is so fantastic & won 117 medals & has such a bright future in your eyes what was she doing BGT - surely she's had her fair share of fame. To my mind she is no more talented than other child sport stars

For some, it's not about fame and fortune.

She's a little girl, perhaps she just wants to perform in front of the royal family.

I do not get her. I thought she would have been the last in her heat. How can she be compared to the other acts. I am starting to think I have watched the wrong show. She is doing nothing different from other children her age that goes to martial arts classes. My 3 old grandson does what she does when playing.

Haha, this post is ridiculous.

Unless your grandson is also a world class standard in martial arts.

I think we are missing the bigger picture here. She has already been taught how to have a frightfull level of bare knuckle aggression.

She seems a most angry, rude madam.Did anyone else notice how she was holding the sword when the votes were being read? What if she had come lower in the votes, unhapiness and a weapon of hostility do not mix.

I think flashing a sword around when their are such ghastly war crimes going on is awful...

And Jesse didn't handle losing well on the semi final. I worry for the kid if it gets through and loses on Sunday. How's she going to cope?

Most adults cry when they lose too
Jesse must have lost before in competitions, and is probably more able to deal with it than most kids her age

Part of the act, is to be aggressive. Even the judges said she looked like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth.

Why are you making such a big deal about a NINE year old crying, jeez anyone would think she committed a crime or something - she is just a child who was overwhelmed with the experience and got emotional, she's only human. As a kid surely you must have blabbed when you couldn't have something.

Also, (not referring to you), but I don't get some callous peeps who take a sick delight in seeing a child cry - obviously something wrong with them there.
