Simon is clearly starting to lose his grip on reality ..

Tonight he was clearly infatuated with the blond magician even though she was average at best - why didn't be just say that she was a stunning looking woman and get her number after the show ??

He also went over the top about that other card sharp magician last week ... suggesting he could actually do magic ... He's losing it I fear and his strange behaviour is a godsend for his many detractors .

Maybe he's still hypnotised by Hypnodog and he hasn't been normal since. That's a long time to remain hypnotised though.

I had the feeling she knew Cowell from else where and was encourged to audtion

Perhaps he was just trying to justify his decision to have her appear in the live shows. Kidding us and himself that she was picked because of talent, whereas we all know if she was male or not so pleasant on the eye she wouldn't have even made the auditions

All she did was being lifted into the air, and then a lot of faffing around with fancy moves making herself look pretty. Its the worst magicians act ive ever seen

I agreed with Simon actually. Chloe was brilliant and should have been in the top 3 instead of Callum.

I did like Chloe but tonight you could clearly see the wire on the guy she 'levitated' when they moved the red crosslight on the left to illuminate her while he was suspended. It was obvious that they both must be on wires anyway, the trick was how they seamlessly engaged and disengaged from the wires, but it was nothing like as impressive as her first act. You need an act where we are left baffled as to how it is done.

I feel most of the semi final acts were over-produced with so much extraneous stuff going on around them and terrible camera work that it was often a mess. The tap dancers for example were wearing black tailcoats against a too jazzy black background and black steps and the camera angles were rubbish.

I had a feeling she wasn't really a magician, I mean she was just dancing and a guy was being pulled up on a wire behind her

And The Neales on Thursday, that was ridic.

It wasn't. The Neales were voted into the Top 3 by the public and then the judges chose them over YET ANOTHER dance troupe. The Neales were a father and sons act which made it more unique whereas Boyband had a stupid name and were just "same-old same-old".

It irks me when we all know that but the judges will go along with being amazed at the "flying".

it was not wires, it was platforms operated by forklifts behind the curtain. a very old and well known trick. you could actually see the platforms at some points.

She (or rather her backstage crew) made a mistake too.

We all know she was hauled in some fashion up. The trick of course is making sure we couldn't see a harness or platform.

The mistake by her crew was that right before she reached the high point of her rise, we saw a little bit of herky-jerky. A bounce in her rise.

That lack of smoothness is of course a tip off.

You could also see she stepped off a platform when being lowered

When the man went up, there was a slight jerk as the fork lift stopped, I thought.
Maybe it was her, as pointed out 2 posts up by kromm. I just remember seeing a jerk.

You mean she cant really fly? It irks me when people on forums post the blindingly obvious. Although in an other thread a poster claims it was a forklift truck "you could clearly see it" so maybe you and them could decide which version to stick to?

Hah. Two jerks then. One on her harness or platform or whatever it was AND Walliams!

Although he's really more of a twit, in my opinion.
