I just caught up on the Jake Wood news, that he's taking a break but will be back in a year and has already signed a new contract - great news, Max is a very good character played brilliantly and I would hate to lose him.
But in the press releases about Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie leaving there is nothing at all about new contracts having been signed which makes it sound as though they're not really on a break at all but have left permanently. So why they saying its a break if it isn't? And if they have signed new contracts why wouldn't they announce it like for Jake?
If Kat has gone permanently I'm more than a bit gutted. It seemed like she was edging back to greatness under DTC so I thought he rated her and was trying to restore her to former glories. She's been so awesome this past month I don't really understand what's going on especially with the twin son which I thought was a brilliant twist and along with the lottery win designed to give her a fresh new direction. I don't get why they would write in a son for her if she's not returning.
Kat is such a legend - one of the few who can bring the heavy drama and laughs in equal measure and if she's gone for good I'll really miss her a lot and I'll miss Jessie Wallace's brilliant performances.
If it HAS been announced shes signed a new contract like Jake Wood but I've somehow missed it, ignore this and feel free to call me a muppet

of a funeral with one of his shirts draped over the coffin and his belt-buckle on the top and A Town Called Malice by The Jam playing and Kat would do a beautiful eulogy
and Ian and Billy would pay tribute too and a Julia's theme at the end!
