Which is something she may well have believed, but it wasn't what she said.

It's understandable Joel was defensive because it's clearly close to home (in his mind) but nobody wants to be accused of saying something they didn't say, do they?”

She came right out and said Joel encouraged it. He asked her if she thought he deserved it and she couldn't answer.

What she actually said was that he 'invites' it, not 'encourages' it.

I'm not sure there's a great deal of difference, maybe a subtle one, it could easily mean 'asks for' more than 'encourages' does but equally she should just have been pointing out that by camping it up in womens' clothing he leaves himself wide open to ribbing about his sexuality.

I was ambivalent until the Joel argument where she was self-important, hard, patronising and up her own arse (like she was in any conflict tbf) but this time with reactionary old-fashioned ignorance thrown in.

By the time she left, I came down on the side of disliking her, so I won't miss her.

So far as I can tell, watching it again, she said "encourage".

She rightly spotted that he was using a politician's trick to try to put words into her mouth, and called him on it.

It's a standard trick used by political interviewers too.

He used a similar trick when she said "don't put words into my mouth", by replying "don't make fun of me" when she hadn't been.

When she realised the sort of tactics he'd use, she ended the discussion. She'd alreasy asked him again and again to have it the next day, rather than then.

Not really. Can't remember what she did in the house, say it all really.

Spot on.

No loss imo. She attempted to display a reasonable and measured approach but failed to utilise the same with HMs she obviously didn't like. Her 'set to' with Joel in the HLs marked her downfall and I, for one, was pleased this was aired before voting lines closed.

Joel should have said 'I'm not putting words into your mouth. I'm asking you a question and giving you the opportunity to answer it.'

He was referring to her mimicking how he was speaking. So she was indeed making fun of him.

She has making a point about what he was already doing, and I would not normally have called the voice she used mimicking him.

But if it was mimicking, or making fun, then Joel's response was just a different politician's trick: ignore the substantial point and try to turn the discussion onto something else where you think you have the advantage. After he'd first tried to put words into her mouth and then tried to pass it off as just "asking a question", he kept repeating "asking a question", so she finally put on a voice to respond to that.

The whole time, Joel was trying to badger her into an argument when she'd repeatedly made it clear she wanted to have the discussion the next day, another tactic.

What would you call what someone who is repeating what you are saying, and trying in their best voice to mimic HOW you are saying it then?

How was it in her best voice or how he said it?

In any case, I've already said what I think it would mean if it was mimicking, or making fun. So the question of whether it was strictly speaking "mimicking" or not is not worth further discussion.

Her face was a picture when her name was read out for eviction, she sat there like a stunned lush, clutching a bottle of booze and looking around at the others as if hoping they would all shout, 'not really'!
I'm so glad to see the back of her and her antics and BBBOTS confirmed what I thought of her. This show is at at's best when the public get it spot on imo.

It was very obvious what she was doing. She was repeating what Joel was saying and at the same time mimicking ,or trying to, the way he was saying it.

Some people can't see the wood for the trees.

I think that wood for trees point applies to what you're saying, focusing on the "mimicking" as if nothing else mattered.

Which consitituency was he standing for in the general election? I must've missed that. Dunno why you keep harping on about this politics thing. He's a 19 year old lad ffs. lol

Exactly. Some types on this forum can't seem to understand that.

Joel got found out and had to start talking in hypotheticals to change the topic. "How would you feel if it happened to you?".

Only a certain type could come out thinking Sarah was wrong here.

The cook/mum has left the building. I'm thrilled both mum and dad have gone.

Sarah was asked what would she do and she didn't answer. Saying it wouldn't happen to me is bullshit. Why didn't she answer the question?

Her sitting there sneering and spitting at Joel was disgusting IMO.

She was so offended when Eileen told her to butt out but there she was doing exactly the same to Nick.

I'm glad the cook has gone. Waste of space those "cooks".

Agreed.

The HLs shows would have been nauseating because they would have focused on her & Danny's so-called romance, with the two of them pretending that they don't really fancy each other for weeks, to keep us all guessing.

As I said a bit ago - her VT was all about her arguing with people, but the reality is she doesn't argue with anyone - she dictates to them. The 19 year old virgin refused to be shut down and didn't let her win that round.”

It was what they call a rhetorical question.

Agree i was happy watching her " shock". hope she disappears but sadly thnk her usual "no body has ever spoke so sweet to me, a sDanny did" ,bollox will be rolled out many times on BBOTS to keep the showmance going to stay relevant on the outside.....

It would have been like Josie and Johnjames.all we saw was them in bed. Sarah would not have had a lot more to give, she and Danny's fauxmance would have got more serious and they would have detached themselves from the rest. Good thing she went.
