If anyone else says super pum.... (well I can't even bring myself to type it) I'm going to report them for extreme innuendo and get DS to add this to their list of banned things.
Super voice was bad enough but the other one..... no.... just NO alright!
I would be embarrassed to be with Three right now.
A lot of people need to be fired and a lot of new people with common sense need to be employed.

Have you not been super pumped then?

Apparently I have but I didn't notice it. Am I doing something wrong?

After a difficult phone call with Three today, this new mast will be a shared one with EE. I looked at it today and saw it's now overgrown with pine trees. Will they cut them back and should I tell them about it before the 'live' date of 12 Dec 2015? The existing EE microwave link looked to be blocked as well by the trees. It was painful to get any info out of them. Kept on hold for 20 mins.

(I noticed a 15 degree tilt of a different new mast put up last Christmas but that's on O2, so I'm not really bothered).
To be fair it was never going to be a new site so close to an existing EE one.

There's no need to baby them, if they need to cut back the overgrown stuff to access the site they will. It's not going to be a one time attend site and upgrade, this stuff takes multiple visits to assess/plan and implement.

It's rare that Three stick to dates, everything gets delayed, I'll be surprised if you get any movement this year at all.

Yes, didn't you read my message #944 from the 6th Sept?
I'm not going to even go look for that

No, but then I have to admit, Iv'e never been to jail. Have you?
I mean, how would you not notice...

1. Being convicted and ending up in jail.
2. Being Super Pumped.

I could type it ok that time as it was in context.

Hahahahaha

Did you watch Netflix the other night then or were my videos a good substitute?

I'm doing some of the voice-overs for the new Star Wars VII.

JJ wanted some Westcountry, specifically "you bleddy liar, you!".

I was only asking what the Three coverage checker says for your area. No need to fly off the handle. Hahaha.

As for your videos what can I say?

Impressive, most impressive. Olaf-Wan has taught you well!

Agreed that "Super-Voice" is a terrible name.

They should just call in enhanced indoor coverage and be done with it.
Only a few seconds at a time of enhanced indoor coverage where I live or even outdoor coverage despite the coverage map saying that the signal is incredibly strong here.
Bloody Liars!

Does your phone other wise hang onto 3G rather than no signal?

I have periods of no signal despite being supposedly a very strong signal area.
3 customer service have over the years tried to convince me that there has been a problem they are aware of and even on a few occasions informed me that repairs have been made and I should be having a good signal, but nothing ever changes whatever phone I use.

My first two years with 3 were fine with a good signal but something changed and I have no idea what.

I managed to flash the Three Ireland firmware for the S6 Edge using Odin with no ill effects, Whilst Three UK continue to drag their feet releasing an updated firmware which can be flashed on up-to-date unbranded phones.

No chance of 4G in my home town, Three is the only network with no 4G coverage there and HSDPA dominates.

It is picking up 4G when travelling on the outskirts of a neighbouring town with a decimal cell ID beginning with 9. Within the same town, it picks up 1800MHz 4G from a cell with ID beginning with 2. The perception is for cell ID's that begin 6, 7 or 8 to be 800MHz 4G, but 9..?

No VoLTE (on 1800MHz 4G), dropped back to HSDPA.

Three are really behind in this area. Any 1800 4G you can get in West Retford will be coming from either Worksop, Dinnington or Tickhill. From what ive seen, there's 800 from one mast in Worksop and also Tickhill which carries well.

To be fair to Three, o2 and Vodaphone have been very slow in the area with only Ranskill and Blyth 4G receivable in the Retford area. More work going on in Worksop though.

EE 4G is just about everywhere though!

Have some patience.

Would you rather be frustrated now, or annoyed after the update due to issues like heavy battery drain and unable to send SMSs that the current Galaxy S5 phones with the update are experiencing.

You are correct Gavin, I am just so impatient and hate waiting. Although
by the sounds of it, even although I am supposed to be in a good super voice area, it doesn't always mean anything. I would rather wait an extra few months for Three to get it right, instead of all the issues the Samsung phones have been experiencing. With any luck 800mhz just hasn't been fully powered up.

I would rather they tested it fully using volunteers (mainly employees) to iron out all the issues. Wait.....they did that and still messed it up. The bottom line is that this has to work for Three as it's the next jump in coverage and without it their 4G coverage is a distant 4th place. In most of the areas I go to when not working I could get 4G if I had one of three handsets supported (only three - 2 months on)! But I don't so I can't. I called again yesterday pushing for a discount as I'm paying the same price as people with a Samsung phone who get a better network. Three are getting back to me.

Ha ha, good for you for trying for that discount though 👍🏼 You are correct, this has to work for Three or else they're screwed, especially if the O2 deal goes belly up! I'm locked in till June and if I'm still in the same situation then I will be jumping ship. I am so sick of a poor home signal.. One bar to no service. I know they have the in touch app but it's no comparison to a good signal.

Imagine the backlash if theyd launched volte with the iphone with issues (not saying there still wont be any, but you have to hope theyre spending their time wisely).

I imagine the S5 is popular on three but surely they iphone will be more so. Coupled with the fact Three have control over the software on the S5 but no control over iOS other than including carrier info when apple push updates.

Doing it the way they have limits any impact caused to a known number of handsets/customers, for sure itd have been better with more thorough internal testing but id imagine their marketing were keen to announce as being the 'first' with volte but it really feels like a soft launch. Compare that to EE getting vowifi first and that is now being touted widely on tv adverts etc.

I guess it's Apple dragging their heels allowing the software update for the iPhones?

With my S5 the only real 2 problems were the battery drain and not being able to send SMS's, but these 2 things were resolved by a factory reset (I normally only do a factory reset after major software updates, but I believe this one needs it as well).

Since then I've not had any problems.

Mark.

I doubt it, we have seen a network(US AT&T) can push out a Wi-Fi calling carrier file update two days after its approval by their authority. And the new iOS 9.2 beta includes carrier file 23.0 but still no VoLTE.

If I'm not mistaken, they are still trying to fix the firmware issue caused Samsung Galaxy S5 users unable to send text messages whilst on LTE. i guess they are worried that the same issue would happen to iPhones, hence I'd think until we see the fix for the Android phones, iOS devices have to wait.

Any more devices launching on Super-Voice anytime soon?

How is the LG G4 mod working for people?

I'm excited as 3 say that work will be happening in my area on the 17th and it's crucial to improve my service. Woohooo. The only thing that puts a slight doubt in my mind is that they've said that about 20 times before a F all has happened. I think the just fire these messages out from time to time to make it look like they are doing something.

They could just be fixing the plug point for the kettle in the cabin on site, a cup of tea is essential for the engineers when on site .
