Any more devices launching on Super-Voice anytime soon?

How is the LG G4 mod working for people?
The LG G4 works really well with VoLTE. The feature to force to switch to a certain band is very good. The problem is that the only masts that I have been able to connect to 800MHz are the masts in Leeds, Pudsey. In other places, when forced to band 20, I can see Three 4G as well as Vodafone and O2. The problem is that when I try to connect it fails. Example of failure are in The White Rose (Leeds) and Broadway Bradford and Meadowhall Sheffield. I haven't been to Manchester in a while so I need to test there too.

They are probably turning the lights off, because it is 'Black Friday'. Probably their website will turn black from the current white? I wouldn't expect anything more than a marketing announcement with deals for that Friday, including the weekend.

Black Friday isn't for another two weeks (27th).

I so hope so but like others suspect that it's something quite disappointing. I did hear in store that they are doing some relaunch of Super voice but the dates I was given were next week. I asked what the relaunch was given it's been switched on (for the 12 or so people with the right handsets) for 2 months now and I got a vague answer about increased masts/coverage.

Hi

My post was in jest :-p I do suspect its nothing 800 mhm related and its just the switch on of Christmas lights.

Or maybe Christmas tree is code for masts and lights is code for iPhone Carrier Update....

I'll quit while I'm ahead lol.

Maybe they're going to add another 12 people to VoLTE.
So none of them will be able to connect to it either.....

They are turning off their network and making all customers roam on O2 2G?

Ok so this is really annoying me now. I am picking up a brand new Three signal which gives me full signal. Before this I was getting one bar on 3g and 4g, if that. On this new signal I can make calls but no H+ / 4G data symbol.I spoke to Three Customer Service but they didn't have a clue...

Sounds bizarre but I'd settle for that Can I ask you what part of the country you are in? Have you done a speed test so see what you're getting?

Make calls and send texts but no data, sounds like Orange roaming.

That's what I was initially going to say but why would it be a "brand new" signal though?
The Orange mast would have been there for at least 15 years.
It's a weird one!

My friend leaving 3 (for EE) was told by 3 that their VoLTE already supports the Iphone 6!

It seems a lot of people on here are leaving either Three or Vodafone for EE.
Is this a general trend?

You really can't tell from the forum, EE has been losing customers overall haven't they?

EDIT, might be wrong maybe it was their revenue down I can't remember. Either way, not that scientific just from the forum.

I thought Three was supporting the iPhone 6 for VoLTE any day now?

Mr Wonk

Don't get so confrontational (there's a big word just before the weekend, I had to use the spell checker, Hahahaha).
You love Three, I Love EE.
We are both equally as sad as each other. Is your anorak better and more colourful than mine? Let's compare!!
Who knows what is going to happen?

In all seriousness I would love Three to be a real competitor to EE but I just don't see it happening. They seem to have lost their way which has to be with management at the core. What the hell is going on with the puppet (Jackson) and the "we are crap, but we'll make it right" shit???

They have rushed out 800 as a totally separate network basically in some crazy way to beat EE. There's no SRVCC or reverse SRVCC ( which you really need if you are going to do 4G at a lower priority than 3G.

I have no idea what they are trying to do.

Mr Bennett of EE is NOT doing any 800 or VoLTE until it works properly.

I have a feeling we might be waiting a bit longer for EE 800/VoLTE but when it comes we will be truly astonished at the coverage and performance.

Mr Bloke

Well I have been googling and found it's a new mast not far from me. It's been active for just over a week. Should data be activated on it when switched on or or is their a delay on data activation?

I am in Wa7 area. Can't do a speed test as I can't use data with this signal. H+ 4G symbol doesn't appear next to signal bars

That's normal. It only supports 3G not HSPA (H+) nor 4G , The vodafone suresignal I had previously was the same.

Do you have wifi at home? In most cases ppl will use the home signal at home to plug mobile gaps for calls/texts, but use wifi for data, so there's generally little need to have faster h+/4G support - maybe new gen devices must but for now little point (for most)
