It can range from 4G right down to nothing at all happening and everything in between.
I think they are randomly generated to make them look like they are doing something. Mine has said that they have been working on a fault since Nov 2nd and yet there is no noticeable problem to the 3G or 4G service.

Spoke to Three RE the iPhone update for Super Voice and instead of "end of December" I got 15th to 17th December. Obviously treat these dates (like all dates from Three), with several pinches of salt.

As i understand it 800mhz will only activate if you loose 3G completely, on iPhone in my case, is this right for priority?

And thanks the person a few pages back who suggested i put the Samsung phone in when checking a super pumped area, it did indeed indicate 800mhz is activated locally, normal 4G isn't.

So i look forward to the iOS update, but sceptical if i will ever get any coverage anyway.

Nothing will happen around Christmas.
If EE don't have VoLTE on or Three the iPhone by about the 10th, forget it until January.
In fact, no wait until February until everyone is sober....

Many organisations impose a change freeze at around that time, they don't want the service potentially being messed up by major changes or additions throughout Christmas and New Years'

I would imagine mobile networks work in a similar way.

Does anyone have a rough idea what Three's fees are for early termination of a sim only contract? It's due to expire in June 2016 but I just don't think I can take the poor signal any longer, it's driving me mad. Unless super voice is the Messiah of signals, I need to leave!

You bought it on PAYG or pay monthly?

What | did was copied 3 apps called Imsservice, Imssettings, and IMSlogger from a ROM that had voLTE enabled. I got these files originally from a HK rom. This meant I could then see voLTE settings in the call menu. I didn't manage to be able to actually get voLTE but I did get 800mhz. I also found there were some files that would "regenerate" upon deletion from the phone which by analysing appeared to be the configuration settings. I believe it is something in the imssettings that is unique which allows the "auth" onto 3's voLTE. I then thought that next I should try porting some files over from a 3 voLTE rom. I tried this with first the s6 but then realised the S6 appeared to have 64 bit files which didn't work with my 32 bit note 3. I then tried it with files from an S5 which was 32bit. However, upon porting over the files the imsservice application kept continuously crashing. It would throw up the error and as soon as I pressed okay it would come back in milliseconds! Making the phone unusable! I have yet to work out what happened.
I will have to return to this at a later as I have got quite a bit of work due at uni so will be taking a break from this.

Just multiply your monthly charge by the months left and you have a rough idea.

If you want it exactly:
Quote:
“Cancellation charge

Lump sum equivalent to the total of all the monthly charges still remaining during the Minimum Term of your agreement less a discount of: (i) 3% for new connecting customers who are in the first Minimum Term of their agreement with us; or (ii) 10% for existing customers that have upgraded or renewed their existing contract with us for a further, subsequent Minimum Term.
”

Just use Wifi calling.

It is exceptionally popular at EE yet the Three one is an app with wider compatibilty.

compatibility might be wider but the app is extremely poorly designed and of course doesn't integrate well with iOS.

Besides, it doesn't work that well...

You forgot to mention it's a wifi app that is pretty buggy, has awful audio a lot of the time, force closes every so often (without any notification), doesn't use the normal dialler or text apps, and should be ditched ASAP by Three in favour of proper WifiCalling.

It's exceptionally popular on EE because it's the proper native WifiCalling that works properly without any fuss, and with good quality audio.

To add, bizarrely the FreedomPop wifi app works far better than the Three inTouch app and has better audio quality and doesn't seem anywhere near as buggy, I have yet to see it FC (and FreedomPop runs on Three as an MVNO). Just shows how crap the 3 inTouch app really is.

Except the app really is the only hope for some people. Some phones simply will never work with WiFi calling yet just about manage to work with the app. Yeah it is buggy but it is better than nothing!

IMO the best solution is for a network to have both. WiFi calling for phones that support it (using the new settings built into newer versions of Android to allow non network branded phones to use it too) and the app for other devices.

Well, yes, if the app worked well enough to be reliable.

Perhaps Three should pay FreedonPop for their app and rebrand it as inTouch version 2.

(we should probably also not be so obtuse and try and pretend an app is the same thing as native WifiCalling....)

According to the Three coverage checker (!) I don't have 4G available in my area. However, if I set the phone as a Galaxy it tells me that I have Supervoice 4G available.

Does this mean that if I buy a 3 data sim and put it in my 800Mhz capable mifi (non-3 but open to all networks) I will get access to 4G data?

I'm confused by all the chaos surrounding Three at the moment....

Just been speaking to three second line in relation to a fault and he advised me that three have submitted the update to Apple and that Apple are planning a mid December rollout for the carrier update for eligible iPhones. Let's wait and see!

I've just done an online chat with three and asked about wifi calling and when it will be available (not three in touch) and was told 4g super voice will be rolled out very soon. i did point out this isn't wifi calling but was told twice it was!
