Yes, and it does happen quite a bit. I guess there's a rather long drawn out legal process if all other avenues to getting access fail.

The agreement with the land-owner would usually be just a case of providing X days notice wouldn't it? I guess the land-owner must want to take it the hard way, he/she will inevitably loose.

Probably also says they can apply for a court order if the owner refuses access.

For my local area the checker says:

"We're aware there's been a network problem in your area for some time. We're really sorry if your services are affected – we're doing all we can to fix it.

We've recently upgraded this site to improve the 4G service from it, but unfortunately there's a fault. In the meantime, you can stay connected with our Three inTouch app in the UK."

I'm not picking up any 4G but the 3G here works fine, so I guess it's another local must they tried to upgrade and broke.

Hold on a minute, Three PAYG is now better value than PAYM?

In what way / plan, is tethering a factor or network priority?

As in, unlimited data costs less on PAYG than PAYM. £20 vs £23.

Hmmm, I guess the only think is the tethering then, PAYG doesn't permit it.

Doesn't permit it but it still works and I've used way more than 12GB...

It's interesting how some people can still tether on PAYG, while others will have it detected almost instantly.

It is meant to be blocked, certainly no guarantees that people can rely on it working in the future, whereas it is permitted on contract, subject to the 12GB or whatever.

Tethering works fine for my 3 PAYG. The SIM even works in a dongle as long as I do not do it too often.

Also, credit where credit's due, 3's 4G was doing about 60mbps at a relatively busy time today from my local mast

Was pretty good for me in town, 3G however was another matter.

The LTE speedtests were done around 4PM and the 3G speedtest about 30 mins after that.

I think i must be the only person in North Wales contributing to Sensorly, does anyone else use Sensorly out of interest?

Any idea why my Nexus 6P is switching to HSPA every time I do a speed test (funnily enough, on Sensorly as I thought I'd install it again following the previous post - it's really improved of late!).

The phone goes to 4G in idle, then the second I hit 'restart' on the speed test.. bang, H. Then after a while, it goes back to 4G.

I can replicate it over and over. If the signal is too weak, why show 4G at all?

(When I was out earlier, I noticed I was on 3G when normally I'd have 4G so something must be up on the transmitter.. but if 4G is down, why am I able to see it at all when idle?)

I seem to quite often have this issue with general use.

I turn the phone on and see the signal says 4G, as soon as i try using the data connection, it changes immediately to H+.

It is quite rare these days that i actually get to use 4G...

I occasionally get this on my G4, only way to get it working again it seems is rebooting the phone. LG say a fix has been pushed out with the MM update, which Three still has not released.

I think this is the best speed i have managed on Three http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/1662552568

Not bad for 15Mhz of 1800 though. With 20 it would have been well over 100!

But yeah, you'd think Truro really.
EE4G is great there except for the Old Ale House which appears to be in a pale area on the map (pale area for current low power 4G we know means stand on your car roof with your phone in a selfie stick and wave it about), which would explain why not only did I get my ear drums destroyed by The Good Old Fashioned Lover Boys but also I only had 2G/3G there.
”

There's a fair bit of 800 coverage but obviously that's no good unless you have an approved phone.

You would think Truro would be at the top of their real list but I don't get it. A few towns have 1800 though.

I have yet to really try EE. Maybe when they do another 100GB SIM?

I'm tempted to get a Vodafone SIM and try it. I did see someone working on a Vodafone monopole in Truro so I assume that's 4G'd now. Do O2 and Vodafone co-ordinate this stuff, so if one network has 4G, so will the other?

I have got my exit visa and will be visiting Plymouth tomorrow. It will be interesting to see if the 3 4G is any better than I remember... (I still think my account has some sort of speed limit on it. I have never got particularly impressive 4G speeds on 3)

I often get more than 90Mbps at my work on Three which is not something I can say about EE and they have parts of LTE-A there as well.
Although I don't live in London so you'd expect the speeds to be higher.

I have had some slow results on EE lately. Even though most people know I like to crawl right up EE's backside!! hahahahaha
Plymouth the other day, in the Drake's Circus multi-story I got 9 meg!
City centre is still mostly 1800 only.
They need more 2600 there soon.

I thought this was a good result the other day on Three.

Nice. Fastest I got during the trial was 65Mbps odd and I don't think I've topped it since then.

(Then again I don't exactly run speed tests often)

BTW, Can someone post the coverage checker hack so you can see 800Mhz Vs 1800Mhz. I had it saved somewhere but can't find it now.

, if you go back to posts of the 5th Deptember that should help. Interesting to read what high hopes we all had (me included) for 800....

How long does it take Three to update your data usage?

Judging by my results on 3 yesterday, that MBNL relationship must be totally equal in Plymouth

(13Mbps was my personal best on 3 4G somewhere in the city centre near Drakes Circus)
