Mine is working fine. Not going to reboot it and see if it reconnects though.

Argh - The one time I need to top up my dad's PAYG in 3 months. Typical.

Anyone know if it's just the website or are any other services affected?

Rebooting Home Signal box seems to have brought everything back.

Same thing happened last week too, website and (some) Home Signal boxes went down together. They must be linked behind the scenes somehow

Has anybody else had an over the air software update flash up recently on their S5?

I've had a quick look and could not see anything on this thread.

I've had 2 updates already for Supervoice (one that enabled it and then a 2nd one that removed the 2 arrows - this is the 3rd one).

Just trying to download now to see if it gave me the version number or size, but it's just busy saying "CHECKING FOR UPDATES".

I've managed to find out how big the update is now and it's a biggie at 1,463mb.

I currently cannot download as only have 600mb available on my phone though, but I normally leave updates for a couple of weeks anyway to make sure other people don't have any problems first.

Also just thinking it's strange that it coincided around the time that I moved from a contract on my Galaxy S5 to a SIM only deal?

Could it be some sort of update for that?

Also what would they be changing in the software as it seems a pretty big update just for that?

I woke up to the update pending on my phone so I'm not 100% of the size, but I'm pretty sure is was 2xxMB, I'm reasonably sure it was something like 243MB iirc. I'm sure it would have been more memorable if it was over a GB though.

My current settings (showing as newest firmware installed when I check):

Pretty sure, no. There is no firmware difference between on a handset contract or a firmware contract.

Suitably impressed that Three kept their promise to have that congested mast fixed that was along my commute. Went past it on the bus just now and got this speed: http://gifyu.com/images/Screenshot_2...1-13-44-30.png

This is what i used to typically get: http://gifyu.com/images/Screenshot_2...45-2614429.png

Was told the issue was going to be fixed on the 21st of January and so it has.

Is 3's 3G coverage going backwards, around my post code used to be outdoor only, now I've checked and a huge area of the city centre has turned outdoor only. I know the coverage was poor but now it's dire, my post code is wf1 1de

They do seem to have changed the coverage map around here too, some areas that were outdoor only now show inside as well, but there are a lot more outdoor only and no coverage areas. From experience it seems more accurate.

Well that would make sense, maybe they are starting to make it right

Three seem to have updated their coverage checker in the past few hours; a few masts in my monitoring areas are now appearing as live for 4G (have been broadcasting for weeks).

I wish I could see the old coverage checker to do a direct comparison but my area looks like its had its coverage changed significantly.

The coverage map now shows no signal for a lot more of my area which is much more accurate. Any previously (I believe) indoor coverage is shown as "outdoor" which is much more realistic.

No significant changes in Cornwall AFAICT. 800MHz coverage looks quite good but we all know how pointless that is.

But... guess what... *more* network "improvements" on the 27th! They had better be the best network in the world, what with all the "improving" they've been doing over the past few months

My local mast is still showing the same as its done for a month or so:

"We're aware there's been a network problem in your area for some time. We're really sorry if your services are affected – we're doing all we can to fix it. We've recently upgraded this site to improve the 4G service from it, but unfortunately there's a fault. In the meantime, you can stay connected with our Three inTouch app in the UK."

The 4G is not shown on the coverage map at all yet it just says coming soon, and the 3G still seems to be working fine, so if they hadn't said anything no-one would know anything is wrong.

I've just installed it as my software was showing different to yours and it's bought it upto the same level (I must have missed an update somewhere, but I thought there had only been 2 since the Super Voice?

Thanks for the info as it helped me decide to update.

In the end it downloaded around 640mb (still said 1.4gb before I downloaded though, but it just said the size, so it might have been the amount of space it needed on the phone.

Mark.

Same here. My area used to have blanket 3G coverage according to the website coverage map, but now there are large parts where there is just outdoor 3G coverage.
